Anyone want to try this with me?

I'm guessing this "Cold Turkey" thing is a little easier if you have someone to do it with.  I want to start tomorrow.  Anyone care to go through withdrawals with me?  I do take the pills for pain so I'm not sure how this is going to go.  The real pain is what scares me.

I'll bite... I'm on day one also today.  Last night I took 8/vic 10's.  The day before 12 10's. So much for the taper plan huh?  And today will be nothing.  Tomorrow should be interesting.  Can't wait.  Look forward to being myself again sometime soon instead of hiding behind these damn pills.  I remember the last go around day 5 was the hardest for me for some reason I think I stayed clean 2 weeks last go around. I'm really dreading the lack of sleep and restless legs at night.  But hey we can do this right?  Hopefully by Sunday I'll be through the worst of things.  I just wish I could kind of enter a timemachine right now....

physical w/d's aint nothin to be honest with you.  I came off of 210+ mgs of roxi a day and the physical stuff was 3 days at the worst???  The mental is the part you gotta watch out for.  Tell yourself you have the flu....that's all it's gonna feel like.

With a name like 'DISCOBISCUIT" (gotta LOVE that name).. I'm here for you anytime and I KNOW YOU CAN DO THIS... (hey.. if I did... ANYBODY can)

Although, I'm only 52 days CLEAN off of an 8-10 Norco habit a day x's 3 years.. I'll help you in ANYWAY that I can...

First, check out the HEALTH PAGES.. (good info for you there)
Thomas Receipe.. worked for me.. although I did a modified version... without the Valium or Immodium.. L-Tyrosine will help to re-establish your FRIED neuro-transmitters and may give you an added boost... but be careful as it can cause the
"TROTS" and may make you feel more ANXIOUS....something you don't want..

Push fluids.. WATER,  GATORADE... (ya wanna keep yourself hydrated)

Eat healthy when you can... Lite meals..

Exercise. Exercise.... EXERCISE... when you can MUSTER up the ENERGY.. I found that just a little bit of exercise helped me SOOOOOO MUCH... as it gets your NATURAL ENDORPHINS kicked in...

And... KEEP POSTING.. as this site has been a LIFE SAVER TO ME  (it's my 'other addiction'  BUT a GOOD addiction!)

welcome and, you surely will have lots of other people here for support. There are constantly new people here daily going into WD.  What med were you on, how long, what dosage, did you taper? Do you have the Thomas recipe to use as a loose guideline to help you at all? did you stock up on supplies you will need? You will need some Immodium or Pepto or kaopectate (whichever works best for you) because you will get diarrhea. I also used GAS X to help with the bad stomach pains related to that.  do you have OTC thigns to take like ibuprofen or tylenol?  Good luck, annd keep posting.
