Can techs spy on you when your taking a U A ?

Can someone shed some light on a situation that happened to me today at Lab Corp in New Jersey.  I went in for a random urine screening and although the door was shut and I had privacy, I swore I saw the tech or someone looking through a two way mirror.  Is is legal for the Lab Corp personnel to spy on you when you are urinating into a cup?  It was weird too they told me not to flush the toilet and they put some blue powder in the toilet before she left the bathroom, what was that for?  The whole experience creeped me out.  Especially if by law they are allowed to secretly watch you when you do "your thing " into a cup.  Does anyone know if this is legal in New Jersey?  Could she legally be allowed to watch we without me knowing due to a special mirror that allows her to see me but dosent allow me to see her?

Don't mean to sound as tho I don't care,  but what difference does it make  how they verified your urine sample, if you were clean?    There are so many devises on the market to exchange a positive drug test for  urine samples that will  ensure it is clean, that I am sure a lot of corps. and treatment centers are finally catching on.....  and well they should, it's about time..

If you feel you were violated by someone "leering" at you or watching you inappropriately, I would absolutely report that agency to the police ASAP.

If you are on probation here in Minnesota the PO comes in the bathroom with you and watches you do your thing.......

yes...they can actually come into the bathroom and watch u up close if they want to....many urine tests are orders "Observed"   many techs etc would rather not watch u urinate...but in reality they r sposed to i most circumstances as people bring in bought clean urine or other peoples urine...tis the right when the court order has been made///most will not watch u pee as they really have no invested interest in it...but they r usually sposed to watch

A lot of companies will want you to be "observed" that doesnt' mean they stand there and stare at your urine stream.  They will usually make there presence in the same room ...stand behind you possibly.  The blue in the bowl is so you cn't water down your urine with toilet water because ....Its blue......watching you through a two-way mirror is highly doubtful, but never impossible, and possibly unacceptable practices.......

The only reason I know this is because I know a couple of people who have to take random urine tests for DOT and was told this was the practice.

Whether your urine is dirty or clean.........I believe you have the right to ask about drug screen practices.  Mine would be clean, but if I didn't know what they did ...I would probably wonder.

If they are going to be watching you through a mirror, I would only hope that they must tell you about it.  This really creeps me out.
Do they use this bathroom strictly for drug screen patients or are they peeping on people that are being tested for UTI ???????????
