SOME DOCTORS DON'T LIKE TO PERSCRIBE BOTH BUT MOST DO. MY ADVICE IS IF YOU ARE ON SUBOXONE TO WITHDRAW YOURSELF FROM ANY STREET OR PERSCRIBED DRUG DON'T TAKE AMBIEN STICK IT OUT TRY ADVIL PM WITH THE SUBS OR MAYBE ANOTHER SLEEP AIDE BECAUSE YOU ALREADY HAVE A ADDICTIVE BEHAVIOR AND AMBIEN IS EXTREMELY ADDICTIVE, PLEASE TRUST ME I HAVE BEEN ON IT FOR 11 YRS AND YOU MIGHT FEEL LIKE SLEEP IS FORIEGN RIGHT NOW AND DEFINITLY NEED SOME HELP W/ SLEEP BUT DON'T TAKE AMBIEN

yes ..i was on SUB 15 months..my doc also prescribed me Ambien CR also.....
bad thing about ambien is that it will lose its effectiveness after taken for a period of time...try some Melantonin in between a few days to give the ambien time to start working good again if this happens.

ps

also i been taking ambien for a period of years..only side effect i ever saw from it was unable to sleep once i stopped taking it..but the way i see it is that i couldn't sleep before i started taking it ..THATS why i started taking it to begin with..lol :)

no horrible side effects or WD'S like opiates give you..i don't care what you hear....I been on it long enough to know......

Please don’t give people false information about benzo withdrawls.  There’s a reason why you can safely withdrawl from opiates in a rehab setting, whereas you have to be hospitalized to withdrawl wal from benzos.  You can die from benzo withdrawal.
Having been addicted to both opiates AND benzos for over 15 years and have gone through full tilt withdrawl from both.   I would pick the HELL of opiate ‘vomiting/heaving every 10 minutes, sweating/freezing, restless leg, no sleep for days’ withdrawl over the ‘I am about to die from a heart attack LITERALLY, because my cellphone beeped unexpectedly and startled me and now my heart is pounding so hard it hurts and is about to cause me to have a REAL heart attack’ withdrawl.
For real, if I was put in a hypothetical situation where I was only allowed to have one of the 2 drugs and was forced to withdrawl from the other,  I would pick the benzos every time.
Here’s one more piece of medical proof in regards to what I am saying:
Benzos will ease you through opiate withdrawl (infact a lot of detox clinics dispense Valium shots for Opiate withdrawl), but opiates will NOT ease you through benzo withdrawls AT ALL.  That is very telling right there.

So, just please don’t encourage benzo use by telling people “no horrible side effects or WD’S like opiates give you..i don’t care what you hear....”
If I knew that benzo’s are a noose around your neck unlike opiates which are just a ball and chain on your ankle,  I would have slapped away the hand of the person holding the Xanax out to me because I was a little nervous....f**k that lady!

I am a current Suboxone user.  My doctor prescribed me Ambien CR and I've tried Lunestra, also, while on Suboxone.  Sometimes the Suboxone, taken later at night, causes me insomnia.  I take both and all is good.  Good luck!
