I've heard of this revival. My church has mentioned it a few times because my youth pastor was diagnosed with a brain tumor last summer and had surgery back in October. The tumor is back.
I love my church and I greatly admire my youth pastor; he and his wife are great people and he has a true gift for delivering sermons. But for some reason it really bothered me when he and his wife said they were contemplating driving all the way to Lakeland to be a part of this revival because the tumor was still present. We've been praying for him for over a year, we all love him and know his situation and adore his family. So I guess my thoughts were, why go all the way to Lakeland for prayers of healing from people you've never met when your own church family has been there for you every single week?
I don't know if they went or not; I don't think they did or they would've mentioned it.
Anyway, my point is that revivals, prayer, and people showing God's love is a beautiful thing, and I'm all for it. But to me, a revival and healing are personal first and foremost, because it's a person's faith in Christ that heals them if it be God's will.
It's not about going somewhere specific to get something so great, so powerful, and so miraculous. To me, it's about having the faith to receive healing from God wherever you are, whether it be Lakeland, FL, your local home church, or in your own home where other faithful Christians come to meet you to pray for your healing.
A miracle from God can happen anywhere as long as the person who needs the miracle has the faith to receive it. If that's the case, it's up to God from that point.

Oh thank you for understanding! I was so afraid I'd be misunderstood again! I feel like I have to be careful what I say to certain people now. I've been told pretty much that I'm not welcome in certain circles. :( I'm glad you guys didn't say that to me!
Well said. God can move through an individual to touch or heal them. Just because He does this does not mean that everything else about their ministry is of God. Test the spirits.
Ps. I don't want anyone to ever think I don't believe in miracles. I definately do! I know they are real. My own mother is a walking miracle. There's no medical reason for her to be walking right now. Anyone can pm me if you want the whole story. I do believe that God can and does set us free from many things, illnesses, addictions, etc., if we will put our faith and trust in Him.

Just be careful. I am a Christian too but I'm unsure about this revival yet and there's a lot of Christians who feel the same. Just remember to pray first and ask God for discernment. Not everything that seems to be of God necessarily is. Remember, Satan disguises himself as an angel of light too. I'm not saying this is necessarily from Satan but there are a lot of false prophets out there. A lot of Christian leaders are concerned with this pastor and how he rarely uses the Bible. Remember to test everything by the Word of God.
Just be careful. We all have to be vigilint in these last days.

yes thank God for the first amendment where we can say what we want except if it involves religion on med-help..we can read how people snort their pills,and can refer them to "aftercare" but to the ones that don't see God as a suitable aftercare, just bleep it out!!
