Distance

I know that someone asked if any of us had met in "real life"........I think everyone except 2 said no, and there were one or two that said they had plans to meet. I was just wondering if anyone knows of someone on the forum that is close in distance to them and have thought about or talked about meeting? I know for me, there are several people from my state but most of them live farther South. I also have "friends" that live one, two, and three states away but the commute really is not all that far. Given the prices in gas, I don't see a road trip tomorrow, LOL, but I really do have plans on meeting a couple of people, and all of you probably know that Troubleinohio is one of those people since she is getting a puppy from me. I was just wondering if I am alone in my feelings of wanting to meet some of my friends here?

I thought we should have a big convention somewhere...but that could go either really bad or really good.... LMAO! We would either trash the hotel....or something....I don't know...but you know how funny that would be if we were all wearing name tags that said

Lizzie Lou and I are going to meet soon. I'm finally at the beach for the summer and she is here for good or a long while, I'm so jealouse of her...

I would love to meet a few people ...actually like confused said..we are pretty close to quite alot of people..it's nothing but a few hours to ohio, indiana, etc...seems to be alot of us here in Michigan..Hmmmm..

I think a med-help convention would be fun..and having to guess..that would be funnier..

As for still liking each other??? I am sure that would change fast for some..

I think it would be just kick a$$ to meet.  Wonder how many would recognize me as i am the "trampy bird"!!!!  I have gotten out the atlas and am still checking out the quickest route.  I WILL be making a road trip this year!!!!!  Get ready!!!!  Yes i am sure some would not like one or the other but i think for the most part it would even deepen the friendships of most. We have nothing to hide from one another on here and everyone comes together in some pretty raw moments.  I think we have a convention, central location,rent a hotel and just get down and dirty!!!!

My husband and I are going to meet with someone from here on Friday...and we're really looking forward to it.  It'll be my first commercial flight, first trip in that direction, and I can't wait to meet my friend.

Well, we watched RV last night so I thought Sara....rent an RV and just start picking us up and let the party start on a rolling bus!!! Wait....gas is $563,298.79 a gallon...we will meet somewhere and then have to stay for 3weeks!

That's a good question. I have made a couple really close friends on here that I may have the chance to meet when I'm on vacation. It sounds weird, go on vacation and meet your MedHelp friends but if I'm already a couple hundred miles away, why not meet halfway?
I also have some friends who are across the country but I have invited them to come out and stay with me for a vacation. That's how close we've gotten. The friends I have that I love the most are the ones I speak to on the phone everyday or try to reach everyday (Lisa) LOL!!
I love the phone contact because that person becomes more tthan type written words, they become very real, it's a unique and special bond. I'm grateful to MedHelp for helping my find new friends. I'm still looking for more too!

You know someone came up with the idea that we have a convention with the effed up people on here, including myself. We though about picking a warm, sunny place that everyone would enjoy going to. I would even plan it if I could be guaranteed people would show up. How fun would that be!!
