Drug talk?

This is probably a silly question, but how would you interpret adults joking about needing "metamucil shots" while attending a 50th birthday party bash at a pub?  Are they talking about eating too much or is this drug talk?

That person may have been "full of it" at the time!

Thanks, I thought perhaps it had a double meaning because a person responded  "take a hit and pass it down."  I am ignorant about what this means.

Metamucil is a powder fiber that you add to liquid. It helps to keep your bowels regular. Constipation is a common complaint the older you get. They are teasing. LOL.
