Really?   I love pro ball,  surprised that Farve  retired  oh for the last 5 seasons,  the last time I thought was for real,   obviously so did the Packers!?    but going thru w/d while QB'ing??    havent read or seen that before!

Let's make a deal,  I will tell you my baseball team......if you tell me your Football team.  Gosh,  our team has only been winning  the past few years (NOT baseball,  hah!)  but trust me,  I watched so many pitiful football games,  but I do have to say they were always exciting, because it was impossible to call or guess the next play!!    So you have a  true fan...not one of those fickle sissy-wa-wa fans.......for both FB  and BB  but you tell first!  :)

You've been outed,  and I hadn't read your note yet!!   Pennington  tho  were you expecting that?    I think  there is a lot of potential this year,  and not because of Farve...that story makes me crazy!!  :)       I thought you were going to say  like  perhaps  the  Oakland Raiders      now that would be really pitiful!!       Okay here we are true confessions       Seahawks         and  yes  that means  the Mariners go with them!!   The Mariners are great memories tho,  my Dad and I would go to the "Kingdome"  now that place was beyond bizarre for pro sports team..     and then  they became heros  and the fickle fans built a new stadium,,,,  oh yeah me too!!     But all here are die hard Seahawk fans!!   WHEW  Still so relieved you werent a Raider fan!!!

Thank you so much for some very much needed fun chat.  What a great distraction from addiction,  for just a bit.  Sometimes  I think I am obsessed with my daughter's addiction (as I sit here in the treatment center!) and it was so absolutely regenerating to laugh, tease, torture Giz and the  Bills........isn't that really what life is made of.....a good balance??  Mine used to be,  but I lose that sometimes, because of my baby's needs,  I am not sure that is truly in her best interest for me to do so,  she needs her real mama,  the one that wasn't frozen by fear, or addiction,  but loved life with all I am.  Thanks  for getting me a bit closer to me!!   You made my night   (maybe  a few nights,  but don't want giz to get too Buffalo Bill confident!   Hah!)  My best wishes to you all.  Good night!!  Jeanette

Im sooo psyched for football too! Ive been a CLeveland Browns fan since I was 4 or 5 yrs old..no exaggeration! I can still rattle off statistics from the Brian Sipe days in the 70's and probably name most of the team roster from back then, thats how into i was even as a kid. Strange I know for a girl, lmao. anyhow my boys had their Brown's jersey's on yesterday as they played their first pre-season game last night. Lost it too damn it. , 20 to 24.  Wasnt on TV though so i didnt get to see it.  Cant wait to watch some football again!!

I agree w/sad the Packers made a Huge mistake letting Favre go.  Being a Wis. girl I am heart broken and I am not so sure where my loyalty will be 100%.  Maybe 95% Packers 5% Jets.  I do love Brett too.... and to me he will always be a packer.

I live in Pittsburgh where there is something on the news about the Steelers EVERY DAY of the year. As you can tell, I'm a hockey fan so hearing about the Steelers when the Pens are in the Stanley Cup Finals is pretty irritating. The first preseason game is tonight and I work right beside Heinz Field. So I might make it home sometime tomorrow morning. Of course that didn't stop me from wearing my Polamalu shirt today! But of course I want them to win, I just get sick of hearing about them. This should tell you what a football city Pittsburgh is, over half of The Post-Gazette's(our big newspaper) online hits are Steelers related.

I am from Washington D.C and still live 20 mins away....So i might have it worse then everyone.....I mean the owner *****....the players suck......the arena *****....even good coaches suck when they get here.

I do wish somehow that the **** owner would have thrown some of his money at Brett.

Oh  Brett Farve,  he was going to retire in 2005,  then 2006   then 2007  it was official,  he didn't want to end up like Dan Marino  and play beyond his years,  blah blah blah and more tears. Have great respect for the way he played the game    but the retiring bit  ad naseum  is way  old.  TIme for him    and everyone else to move on,  which was supposedly his intent a few months ago.  Seems pretty sad he volunarily retired,  wanted nothing more to do with pro ball,  changes his mind at the last minute  and the Packers are suppose to negate all the plans  they and the players made in the off season while Farve was riding his tractor??   Call me silly,  but it is a bit too late to "changed my mind   again"  and expect to have any crediblilty of true intent.    Much ado about nothing.......was sad when he retired,   after having one of his  best years,  but his self made drama  is beyond weary.    And this fan  has moved on!!   :)

Llardro you said it pretty good and i pretty much agree with you. I personally wasnt really a fan of Favre but i did respect his abilities. Same with Michael Vick- years ago i was in awe of his multi-faceted talents on the field, incredible to watch, made for some exciting games to see. I wasnt a Falcons fan at all but i really liked watching him play. And then this whole dog fighting thing came out...i couldnt believe it...a guy with all that talent and money and a future ahead of him still for along while playing ball providing he didnt get a career ending injury.......and he threw it all away to be a thug instead. Sad. Anyhow, Im glad that my Browns did not get Favre. Even though the Browns have never been in a Super Bowl , EVER,  we are a team of UNDERDOGS. always have been, always will be and I wouldnt want a "drama queen, high dollar, high profile" QB like Favre on our team. I like the lesser known underdogs, thats what the Browns are all about.

Llardro: so sorry to hear you are a Seahawks fan, LOL..  I've "hated" them since about 1986 when they crippled, almost killed, and ended the career of Clarence Weathers (a Browns player) and a penalty was not even called. Broke his neck.  
Not that i hold a grudge or anything, its only been since the mid 80s this happened lol

You can't take our Woof  Woof..........  I am an alumni and long time season ticket holder for the UofW Huskies,  the real Dawg pound.........   who let the dawgs out???  Pretty sure that was our song first!! :)            I am so sorry  about Weathers  and there was absolutley no ill  intent, just a freakish thing that happened during play (?)   Wasn't Paterno the coach then,  we were the only team that had all the starters playing pre-season,  as that was the only "season" where the Seahawks actually won a game!!  But you have to admit,  we were never as dirty as the Raiders,   now that is a bad *** team!  Even when they are losers,  poor pitiful losers !!    (hah)

Gosh the Hawks spanked the Vikings last night,   and that was with playing the walk ons!!

I am sure this "cockiness" will come back to haunt me     later in the season!!

Dont send hate mail to me lmao...but i am a brett farve fan and love the packers...but yes i do wish he would of stayed in retierment...One interview he admitted that without football that he loves so much that he would have a harder time with his addiction...said he hadnt thought about it in some time until this summer when he was retired....he faught hard though his addiction then loss of his dad then his wife getting cancer and though all that he never missed a game...but at his age i kinda wished he would of stayed retiered while he was on top!! Hopefully he plays well this yr but heart broken he went to the Jets...Now being a Green Bay fan for so many yrs and loving Brett i dont know what to do this year....maybe have two teams lol...
