For those who know me, cross your fingers please.

Anyone and everyone who knows me, please say a prayer, send out good vibes, wish me the best. I might or might not have stomach cancer and I am hoping to find out today what is going on. Knowing my luck I will be told there are more tests

I honestly hope and pray it's not stomach cancer, but this morning I had bright red blood in my stool........... I also NEED to stop smoking. I am so lost, confused, worried, and starting to hate existence. I need help and I hope it's all going to work out. My wife don't deserve to lose her husband.

Thank you.

Take the payments and get another opinion about the surgery. You want them to cover the medical, always!  Feel better!

Thank you :-)

I like hearing that news.

Also, I haven't had blood for a while, even when passing the kidney stone.

VBright red blood would most likely be hemmoraoidal in this circumstance.......stomach cancer blood would manifest as black and tarry stool most likely - - chill out and try not to worry excessively.......................bright red also comes from stress basically.............but it comes from the anal end of your system and not from the upper ends where your stomach lies.

My injury (QME) and (MRI) report is done. The company where I got hurt is to blame for my injury. I have two choices, either take payments and keep getting medical, or get a lump sum and give up my medical treatment.

I have 0 clue what I should do, both have good options (considering I live somewhere that if I get payments, half would go to inlaws), but I don't know what I should do. The pain medication is to be taken away, and instead cortizone shots and possible surgery are recommended. That's fine, I don't need the medications for life, but I am not cool with surgery.

I am in a LOT of pain. The doctor says they can't get me in right now, and the uroligist (SP?) can't see me for a while.

The only other thing I can do is go to urgent care or the ER. I took an IB 800 and some norcos. I am hoping they help. I got my papers today and the 2mm stone has not come out yet, and there are two 1mm stones (one in each kidney) calcifying.

I don't know what to do, my mother in law is making a joke out of it and I am afraid to go pee because of the pain she said I will be in.

There is usually a nurse line you can call...Dont let this go.

You should probably go to the ER if you're still in pain.  You don't want to get an obstruction or infection from the stone!

Hospitals usually have an advice line. Can you call someone to ask about this?

I am feeling pretty bad pain, NOTHING compared to when I passed the stone and went to the ER, but I don't think the stone passed out of my body yet. It hurts and I don't want to go to the ER again.

I don't know what to do.

It's decided, for sure, no more hydrocodone. Of course money talks and BS walks, but, I made the choice. I can't guarantee that later on down the road in a couple years that I wouldn't try anything, but I know it's time for my affair with this shite is over.

Now would be the time, for sure. It's on my mind. I want children, if we can have them. Yeah, this might be my way out.

Have you begun tapering at all?  I know you talked about that but haven't heard the latest.  And unless your wife can help you with that tapering, it's going to be very difficult, near impossible, to do that on your own.  Take control here trd!!!  You can do this I know you've been wanting to for a long time.  Wouldn't NOW be the time?  I'll be rooting for you.

Im very new and struggling but when looking at dominosarah's profile(I value her opinion ALOT)
I caught this post. I had red blood when passing stool about 12 years ago. I let it go thinking hemmroids, I had just had a daughter, and wasnt really paying attention to myself. My wife made me go to the doctors and it turned out  it was colon cancer. The next day they were able to remove it and now thirteen years later I am still cancer free.
Dont freak out. Doctors are amazing, and you will be OK!
Sorry if I put my nose where it didnt belong...

To vicki, yes, I remember, I don't think I will forget that one LOL

To domino, I don't know what it is yet, I have an upper GI tract test soon. That's about it. Thank you for asking. BMDAD, yeah, I knew better than to let myself get to into it. I was actually surprised that I didn't get as freaked out as I usually do. Thank you all for replying. It's nice that when I have been on this site for a while, and try to help out people, I get people still helping me, even though I am the unfunniest ***** off there can be.

Sure hope your appointment went well.

I agree you that freaked yourself out thinking it's cancer. There's nothing wrong with looking at the internet trying to research symptoms but you can't take any of it to heart. If you get stressed easily, then I wouldn't even search the net. Any symptom that anyone has at any certain time could have something in common with cancer but most of the time it's not. Never jump to conclusions from health information you researched on the net. Always check with a doctor before you get worked up over anything. It's just not worth the added stress.

Keep us posted and try not to worry until there is reason to worry.  I'm sure it's nothing serious.

The internet is great for info BUT it's never a diagnostic tool.  You've scared yourself!!

Both smoking and opiates really do a number on some people as far as stomach issues go. You'll feel better once you have all the tests done. Mostly, you probably need a diet change...

Feel better and look around for that sense of humor you seem to have misplaced!! Remember the night your hand got caught in the bed???   Hysterical!!!

Yeah, I did some studying online about stomach cancer, and even though bright red blood in stools CAN be a symptom of stomach/colon/rectal cancer, dark red to black is more the color people have. Also, I noticed that A LOT of people who have had or do have stomach cancer have really bad heartburn all the time, I don't have heart burn unless I eat after a certain time or I have to much salt.

He has ordered an upper GI tract test and a x-ray of my gall bladder. He said he thinks it's either an ulcer (from the norcos) or my gallbladder needs to be removed. No gall stones were found when they did the ultra sound, but he said that does not mean my gallbladder is okay.

Regarding my smoking and the norcos, I HAVE to stop both. I am going to have the doctor change my medication down, and keep going down from thee to taper off. I have quit CT and honestly, even after the 9th day, the RLS is freaking terrible. I don't know what I will do for pain, but it don't matter. The smoking can cause my chances of getting cancer up 50% and this is scary enough to make me stop. That I will do wither with gum or CT. I can't afford medication for it (stop smoking). The norcos need to go bye bye not just because of my health (and possible ulcer) but also, my wife and I were both told that she might not be able to get pregnant because constant hydrocodone use causes sperm count to go down dramatically.

Thank you again to the people who helped me by talking to me.

What makes you think you have stomach cancer, anyway?  Blood (bright red) in stools are usually a sign of hemorrhoids...stomach cancer presents differently, usually.

So,what did the doctor tell you yesterday?
