I have a problem!

Hi everyone, this is my 3rd time posting here . I mostly just read posts which is very helpful! But tonite i have a prob. I have not taken any vicodin in about 3 weeks because i was addicted and wasnt working anymore for my spine pain . So i was put on ultram. I got 90 tabs. 50mgs from dr on aug.29th..i called my refill in today n the pharm. Told me it was too early.my insurance wouldnt let me get it til the 21st.of sept. cuz the script says 1 evry 8hrs and ive been taken 2 every 4 to 6hrs . Im now afraid i might be addicted to them and will have withdrawls from them like the vic. I did not want to get off one addictive med to take another .should i just stop taking the ultram all together? could anyone give me some advice? Thanks. ~michele~

Hello there! Tramadol ( ultram ) is addictive as well....eventhough doctors might say that its not because its classified "narcotic like" drug. When was your last pill? are you feeling any WD's?
if  you can deal with the pain...please dont take ultram...its so nasty! i was addicted to ultram and getting off of it was not fun.

Hi I have not had any ultram since 8pm yesterday. So no w/d yet. Im just really afraid to take anything habit forming again. It was so hard geting off the vicodin. but i havent wanted any vicodin since ive been on ultram. Anyway thank you for your help. I am gonna try to stop taking ultram. I want to stay away from everything opiate or like opiates.by the way how long does it take to see the w/d symptoms after taking last ultram? Thanx again. ~michele~

It really depends....if you took your last yesterday, you should be feeling some discomfort now....but you know what, DONT think about it....its 90% in your head....Ignore it and deny it..you will be ok :)

I think you are totally right about it being all in your head!i am noticing some leg pains n restlessness when i lay down but thats all.I have great willpower So i think i can stop using completly. Thank you so much for your help.have a great night. ~michele~
