Is anyone trying to drop some weight ????

I dont know about you all but I am trying to lose some weight I think it would be great to have some weight lose buddies .

I walked a mile and a hand today it was really hot ...
ate kids and a banana for breakfast
salad for lunch
not sure about dinner ...

I JUST COULDN'T HELP IT.

Dinner...freshfruit chopped up by a man named Steve-o...watermellon...other stuff that tastes good, will satisfy thirst, hunger and sweet tooth at same time.

Rush - That was HYSTERICAL lmao...

Avis - I'm trying to lose weight myself... I try to stay below 1500 calories a day, and I choose one day a week to endulge on beer and fast food hehe. Also running twice a day on mee treadmill.

In all seriousness, Kids are high in fat calories, avoid them.

I haven't tried to lose weight through any other means than intense exercise (1 hr of cardi0) burns lots of good calories...combinded with some strength trainin( weights) to build muscles that burn up the fat.

I also east very little fast food, but indulge in pizza and a burger once in a while.  I try to eat lots of freshfruit and greens...you know those backs of salad mix at the store...I'll throw a whole bag in a bowl with sunflower seed, craisons, cruotons, parm shreds and some basic olive oil and balsamic dreasing...it fills and makes me body feel healthy...

LMAOOOOO KIXs, KIDs Either will work but I dont think will lose much with the kids

Rush -walk about an hour a day right now I haven't started adding weights but I will tend to eat pretty well cuz if I eat junk I just tend to feel crappy. I have about 30 pds I would like to see go .I do have one day a week I do not worry about what I eat or exercise if I don't feel like it .

Mr new_I split mine up morning then evening .Makes my dog very happy ..

So if anyone wants to get on board and work together anyone with tips what works the best for them I think it would be great.

any exercise is good exrccise...do what you can and set goals to lengthen that walk a little each day...try to speed walk as it get the hear rate up...do leg bends at intervals and pushups and situps wehn you can...the more the better...

I did a short hike today and came home and took a three hour nap LOL it kicked my butt but in a good way .:)

Another thing I try to do is to stop eating before 8:00 and try to go to sleep around or before 10:00 then have a pretty big breakfast in the AM.  I take melatonin and in some cases nyquil to force myself to sleep.  I try as hard as I can to not take naps or at least long naps during the day.

mr thank you for the advice .Normally I don't nap at all but it been so hot here in upstate NY with no AC I just kind of knocked out .I did a two mile walk with my dog this morning not at a very fast pace my body still hurts from yesterday's hike LOL I smell like ICY HOT
I use a really good app for my Iphone that tracks your route mins pre hour and calorie's burned it great .

also, before you eat, drink a full cup of water...it well help you to feel more full and help to digest better...just a thought
