Liver Function

I've got the results back of my liver function test,It has gone from 116 to 35 in 3 months,Doctors over the moon more excited than me I think. Denise

can you share your story for those of us with faulty memories (especially at 5 a.m. like me here, lol) Im assuming  you abused one of the opiates with lots of aceto in it? how long you been clean? Im trying to put this in perspective of how soon things can get better for the liver after quitting.

I was an alcoholic for 33 yrs,stopped through 2 pregnancies and stopped for 12months in 2000 because I had a brain haemorrage and was told not to drink alcohol for 12 months after craniotomy.when I stopped 3 months ago I was drinking 3 to 4 x 1lt bottles of Bacardi a week.Also addicted to Codeine for 20 yrs on and off,more on than off.When I stopped i was taking 180 to 240mg a day.Stopped both C/T 91 days ago,while also going through counselling for child sexual abuse at ages 7 to 10 perpetrator was my older brother he is 10 yrs older than me.It's been a lot to handle all at once but I'm doing it.

Congratulations!  Thats very impressive.....I am a 15 year hepatic patient also - - already into stage four fibrosis so they call it 'end stage liver disease" - -  both my liver enzymes have been over 200 for quite awhile. If you dont abuse your liver any further you are in good shape...........
