Living Life AFTER Addiction.

by peaceinknowing, Nov 02, 2009 06:01PM
For those of you who remember me, I've been a member since August. I haven't been on the forums in the past month and a half, but please know that I AM still here. I've struggled day in and day out like the best of them, but I can still sit here and honestly say that I'm over 100 days sober still. I was sick for about a week, and ended up going to the doctor..... I'M PREGNANT!

LIFE. IS. GOOD.

Just what the hubby and I have always wanted. Is there other members on here who found out they were pregnant after they got clean from the pills, by any chance? I am only a mere 5 weeks along - but it's still great news none the less. My sobriety is now important to our upcoming little family just as much as it is for me. Thanks for your blessings, and for those who wrote while I was MIA.

Congratulations!

Yet another reason to stay clean, look after yourself and keep on fighting the good fight.

Thanks so much for the kind words. Getting off of the percocet pain killers was the best move I think I've made to date (other than the night in question when we conceived, of course -- hahahahaha!!!!!) and God is good. I'm not the highest of spiritual people out there, but I do believe that HE was looking out for me and my husband. We also bought a house, hence the reason why I haven't been on for such a long time as well. But it feels good to be back, and people need to hear what everyone has to say that has gotten sober!
