Long Haired Dope Smokin' Hippe Wants to Know??

Well I did have long hair, back when I did have hair! And I did smoke (and I Inhaled) but, I would like someone to tell me why in Ca. there are always fires............do you guys not cut any brush around your homes?
Please pardon my ignorance but I really do not understand this, it seems as though as long as I can remember, there has been  wildfires going on there.....guess I was to smoked up to find out the reason!!

People are always loosing homes due to them and it seems like something could be done about it.
I know about the Santa Anna winds but the wind blows all across the nation........Right??

you stole my song, and I used to have enough hair for 1/2 dozen people, still do just aint on head no more, its in my nose ears eye brows bck and so on. Got enough hair on my back to make an indain blanket but not enough on my head to keep it from sun burning. What were we talking bout something OH the fires To burned out to know! someone explained it but to realy in the morning and to late into burn out to understand cept for the ones who have been hurt and the firefighters they are heros

well the topography of cali is very rough in Santa Barbra it goes from sea level to 4ooo feet in only a couple miles.. clearing brush really only helps if you can do it in a wide enough area.. so much forest and mountain ranges you can not always get in.. not a populated as you would think as once again it is very rugged.. they are experiencing sun downer winds right now not the Santa anna.. santa annas can whip winds of 70 miles an hour.. fire moving at this speed is awesome.. the sun downer winds are pushing fire at 40 miles an hour up dried mountain sides.. 4 fire fighters have already been hurt.. we are experiencing droughts for a few years now.. the brush is dry.
