Lying Friend

I have a friend who I think is lying about something very big in his life. He says he is dating a famous mucisian and yet never sends photos to prove it. He does send me emails "supposedly" from this person but it's getting to the pint I can't handle it anymore. I can't prove him wrong but I know he's lying. How do I get him to let the real truth come out. I'm sick of hearing these lies and wasting my time!

I meant to say, save the doc to your desktop.  Who ever's computer the original writing came from's name should appear.

Try this.  Copy & Paste the email in a word doc.  Then save the doc to your laptop.  When you point your browser to the icon, the person who really wrote the email's name should auto show up without even clicking on it.

Let me know!

YEs it was in the Bi-polar forum because he has bi-polar disoder really bad. He doesn't always take his meds and I think he actually starts to believe things are real when they are not. I wondered if it was part of the disease or just part of his personality.
I guess I know what I need to do. I'm just tired of him carrying on this charade, now he's dragged me into it. That's my fault, I should have said enough a long time ago. He has lied in the past so many times I can't keep track. I think it's just time to get away from him for awhile.
Thanks for your helpfful replies

I should add to the top paragraph that it turned out I wasn't lying.  I lost a lot of friends, but it was because of the way they treated me, not because of something I was doing wrong, or lying about.

Why is it you think that your friend is lying?  Is it because you think it's too far fetched, or is it because he hasn't been able to prove it to you?  I can understand your skepticism as he hasn't sent you any pictures.  I have to say however, I have been in a similar situation where certain of my 'friends' insisted I prove to them what they thought I was lying about.  The more that they pushed, the more I decided it didn't matter what my friends thought anymore.   The more I was asked to 'prove' myself the less I did.  I did not like the idea that someone who was supposed to be my friend was expecting me to prove something to them.

Now, on the other hand, if you have been friends with this person for a very long time, and you know he has a history of lying, then maybe either you need to confront him.  Do you know his family?  Maybe you could talk to them and you could all sit down and have a conversation or something.

I'm wondering if this has to do with the other post you posted in the bipolar forum?  Is this the same friend we are talking about or someone different?  It just concerns me that you are accusing two  of your friends of lying to you at once, and it makes me wonder if the problem lies with your trust in others (please, I'm not being critical, I'm just merely making an observation).

Anyway, good luck and let us know how it goes.
