OMG!! I wish i'd never read this post...lol..2hrs i've been watching...Nothing!!! 10 more minutes, 10 more minutes. I feel like i have to wait for one of the parents to get there..I wanna see a damn owl...lol
Thanks a lot addict3, now I have been checking in on these damn owls the past 2 days, pretty cool tho, I love owls. I will not let this owlcoholic addiction grow cause as we know addiction is progressive haha.
My other half wants to make sure everyone who is watching the owls knows about the exterior camera, owl box 2......says the action is good after 10 pm pacific time.....she switches over about then to see the parents more often.
Ok...i think i figured out the time difference. Sydney is 17hrs ahead of California time. Its just after 6 pm on Wednesday in cali so 10pm should be at 3 pm Thursday your time..(Sydney time.. you can do the adjustment)..LOL..dont know if this is right...should be close
Most birds sleep standing up unless they are sitting on eggs/chicks but after a while the chicks get to big :) birds are prey also so best to be on your toes !! midnight here in Cali and you can barely see one.. they are sleeping :) my husband gets irritated when I have the sound on for the noise they make Guess it is time to crank it up lol
Beat, I can't do that anymore since I got clean but trust me...the view is much clearer this way..LOL
You guys just wait for the Spring and The Infamous Loon Cam. Sarah got me into last year and I was getting out of bed in the middle of the night to watch the dang Loons. Addicted doesn't begin to describe it.
I have come to the conclusion in the last few days that I need a life!!! I really do.....
Ptilopsis leucotis : the transforming owl
Ptilopsis leucotis is already a strange looking owl also called Northern white-faced owl. When face to face with a 35cm long owl, it tries to appear larger to scare off a possible enemy... ...but when puffing up won't work, then it's time to transform into a kinf of "evil owl" : (Pictures Credits)
Read this on animopedia...
I had to shut down the cam for a bit. First, the RSS feed is knocking out Safari on me for some reason and second, watching them nod and sway just reminded me of how I spent more than half my life on drugs. I looked just like them! I know this sounds nuts but that is how my warped brain works and I'm learning to listen to it.
Thank you Narla and congrats on your 400 days lady!!! I am proud of you!!!
P.S. Beat, As the old saying goes, "You're gonna need a bigger boat". See, I called Sarah at work and got the link for FREE. I assume you spent a pretty good penny on that collection. This is the big leagues honey and I don't intend on losing!!! LMAO
I just saw they were both there,It's so good to see them together again,
I hope we can get free psychiatric help when they leave for good,I'll need it,separation anxiety is the pits.
how will I fill in my time?
