NFL Playoff Pool Only

This pool is separate from our regular pool. None of this will carry over to our other pool. Anyone new is more than welcome to play! The pool scoring system here is going to be based on "confidence points". The confidence points for rounds 1 and 2 are going to be 4 points, 8 points, 12 points, and 16 points. Round 3 the confidence points will be worth 8 points and 16 points. Round 4, or the Super Bowl, will be worth 16 points. All of these points add up to a maximum of 120 points. The winner of the pool will be the one with the most points once it's over.

So round one you have 4 sets of "confidence points". What you want to do is use the higher points for the teams that you think most likely will win and the lower points for the game you aren't quite sure about. When doing your picks be sure to list the team that you think will win and post your confidence points next to them. Here's an example.

                                                                          chance of winning out of any other team in any other game)

New York Jets at Indianapolis  Indianapolis 4         (I gave Indy 4 because this is the game I most unsure about)

Baltimore at Kansas City          Baltimore  12        (I gave Baltimore 12 because I think that Baltimore will more
                                                                           than likely win but not quite as sure as New Orleans)

Green Bay at Philadelphia         Green Bay 8         (I gave GB 8 because I'm pretty sure they will win but think
                                                                           it possibly could go the other way)

So basically just put your the higher points with your picks that you have the most faith in and the lower points with your picks that you aren't quite sure about. If you get a pick wrong you won't get any points for that game.

Using my example above lets say that New Orleans won, Kansas City won, Philly won and Indy won. My total points for the week would be 20. Since Green Bay didn't win I wouldn't get the 8 points and since KC won I wouldn't get the 12 points.

If anyone has any questions just ask!

We will keep track of the points for each week and add them up at the end. We will also pick total points for the Super Bowl just in case there is a tie.

Be sure picks are in before opening kickoff of the first game which is scheduled for 4:30 est. If picks are in late none of your picks will be counted for the week. Also be sure to add your confidence points for each pick as that is how you score points. If there are no points after your picks you will not be credited with any points.

The confidence points being used for this week are 4, 8, 12, and 16. Use the higher number for the team you have the most faith in and work your way down. Put the number after the team you pick to win. You can only use each number once.
