NFL Pool this year? WHo's in? I would love to do it

well this should be a GREAT   NFL season this year...man oh man there is so much drama going on with so many teams and players this year it's practically like a soap opera! From Michael VIck getting back into playing in the league, Brett Favre un-retiring again, Big Ben Roethlisberger with those ridiculous rape allegations against him, a Browns player suspended for at least the year for being convicted of a DUI homicide....the list goes on and on!
Anyways, I wondered how many of you are interested in doing the NFL Pool again this year? that was alot of fun (and I did quite well, hint hint, LOL).  If anyone is interested, lets get a weekly pool going again and if no one wants to be the Score Keeper, I'll go ahead and do it (i suckk at math though, lmao). But it was so much fun last year Im willing to take charge of it if no one else wants to keep track.
So everyone raise your hand if you're interested! I have to check ESPN.com to find out when first game of season actually is (Shame on me,  I m not sure when the pre season ends and the real one begins, lol)

Im glad to see Romeo go for sure. btw billicheck was a browns coach before as well... i also remember when sam rutigliano (sp?) was their coach (early to mid 70's i believe this was...we used to call him Gamblin Sam...it woudl be 4th and 36, and he would GO FOR IT,  lolol  That was back in the day with Brian Sipe as QB, we kept hoping we would go to the SIPER Bowl, but only ended up with the TOilet Bowl instead of course. But still Ive hung on. I was devastated the year that pig slime ball scumbucket Art Modell SOLD our team to baltimore and we had NO TEAM ,  FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!!! devastation. Im surprised cleveland didnt burn to the ground that year, for real. People were so furious and I dont even live in cleveland, Im just west of Toledo, but even here most people are brown's fans. I was so depressed when we lost our team, that I didnt even watch NFL for a couple years, and even when CLeveland did get a team back finally, i didnt watch that first season because it just didnt seem the same anymore. It took me awhile to get back into it.   Gosh, Im even over emotional about my footballl teams LOL

Sarah- how do you feel about getting Brett Favre? like or not? should prove interesting..and the Raiders...hmm... i havent actually watched a game of theirs since Ray Guy was their punter (Im really dating myself now,  haha). Man that dude could KICK A BALL FAR! he once hit the roof of a dome (forget which stadium it was tho)

as for Big Ben and the Steelers.....i cant help that I like them. Ive slowly grown to like them over the years except when they are playing the browns of course. I also dont think Ben raped anyone. There's so much buzz that this woman had bragged about sleeping with him to her friend, sent emails and text messages saying she hoped to date him and was hoping she was pregnant from their consentual encounter. And also lets face it, I cant see Big Ben neeeding to rape anyone....he's HOT, he's rich, famous, one of the best QB's in the NFL.....I think he could probably pick and choose from a long line of women and not have to forcefully take one, ya know? THat's just my opinion but I really think most people also believe he is innocent. I wish him and the Steelers another great season. and i was just reading on espn.com that its unknown if he will play tonight against the redskins (i sure hope he can, i finally get the NFL channel on TV and can watch the game , woohoo!!) I guess he got his right ankle injured when a 345 lb linebacker "Stepped on him". Big Ben said it felt like he got run over by a car lol

and yes, my browns play tonight at 7:30. unfortunately its not televised but maybe they'll show clips and updates from the game when im watching the Steelers game tonight.

N2S- no actually Im not a Buckeye nut...I do watch the big game of OSU-Michigan Wolverines...as its like the SUper Bowl in these parts for that game. You cant live in this area and not be effected by that game lol.  Other than that though, I dnt even watch much college ball.

I'm in . I want to know if Farve can't take Mn. to  the big show if the Vikings will attempt to lure John Elway out of retirement. More changes in the front office is what they need.
A disapointed Vikings fan although it does make good PR for a new stadium.

so how are everyone's favorite teams doing this weekend in the preseason showdowns? My Browns are kickin asss (of course its against Detroit, who didnt win a single game last year lol)  But man...that Joshua Cribbs, he is amazing.. ran 2 long TD's (one got called back though). He's been my favorite special teams player of the browns since Gerald McNeil (the Icecube). Cribbs is truly amazing how he can return so many kick offs and punts for TD's. He also can throw a ball really well too (i think he used to be a QB back in college ball if i remember right)  Im being forced to listen to game on radio tonight sicne its not on TV... im disappointed in this Steelers game...Big Ben isnt playing and its not a very exciting game (figure thats the one that IS on tv instead)

N2S - no i actually never have done fantasy football and not sure why, lol... I did get in and play in another pool with people my brother works with and did well in that (even won some $$) but thats it.. and yes I guess I am kinda a die hard fan. I still remember many many years ago, sitting in CLeveland Stadium watching them play the Vikes in what was dubbed "the coldest NFL game in history" to date. OMG it was way below zero and the windchills were dangerously below zero. My feet were numb, my throat felt like it had frostbite and could barely breathe- the air was so cold it felt like it was freezing your lung tissue with every breath! and of course that game went into OT so it dragged out everyoens  suffering even longer, LOL.  Then had to walk what felt like 20 miles after the game from the stadium and through the streets of cleveland to get to where the car was parked. I was cold for about 3 days after that, took me awhile to thaw out. But i loved watching the game still, lol.

this goes to show how sick i am in my 'football addiction".....i just set my alarm clock for 1;30 a.m. so i can wake up and watch the previously recorded Browns game that is actually on right now but no tv OR radio station is covering the game tonight so my only shot at seeing it is after the fact, in the middle of the night no less, LOL.  But hey, this'll be nice...no one will be up to distract me, i can watch it with my full attention, with my doggie curled at my feet  (now watch having said that, one of my kids will wake up at 1;28 a.m.  needing something lol)
