When I first cane to MH I knew I didn't know everything but I wasn't receptive to learning anything new. My feelings got hurt so easily and I really felt attacked...
I couldn't understand why these people were"picking on me!"
LOL!!

I still don't know everything... But the difference is.. Now I actually LISTEN to what I am told.. I'm learning as I go & try to help others as I can..

Because I have been here for a little while now things MAKE SENSE!!! I now KNOW why people were "picking on me."  
People here care and those who have gone before us just may know what they are talking about! IMAGINE THAT! lol!

This is an open apology to you all for putting up with the brat I was!
I'm growing up guys and it feels really good to see myself changing for the better!
Their IS freedom in recovery!
I'm loving it... Even the bad days are good if that makes any sense!

Rosy I loved you from the start..I knew you would grow as I was growing with you too!!  We are hit on here sometimes with tough love but we soon see why. The ones that are way ahead of me are the ones that helped me get here too..Sarah was one who I would always PM and ask "WHY"..Why do I feel like this or that. Weaver has been here for me too since day one. Many, Many others have been too!
I remember one time I was going to never come back. I was hurt by what someone said. We can not please everyone nor is everyone going to agree, but we all have one thing in common and that is this nasty ash Disease. I love you girl and you are such a Ruby that shines on here..lol

On a serious note here, Rosy when most of us come here we have a huge wall built up.  To let others know what we are really all about is scary and it makes us feel so vulnerable, something we arent used too.  We dont like ourselves and we are sure others wont either.  This is very common and if you pay attention you will see that happening with others.  It is very rewarding to watch someone evolve.  We learn to pick our battles here and that is what i did with you.  I knew in time you would come around and we would see the real you and you know what?  I really like what i see~

Ya know what? I totally get what you are saying. I went through something similar when I first came here. I resisted the solid advice I was being given. I thought my situation was different and I knew what I was doing. I thought that some of the veterans were too mean and blunt and more than once I tangled with them (you know who you are).  Today, I have a completely different perspective. I know that the support I was given was caring and exactly what I desperately needed. Anyway, this isn't about me, it's about you. I just want you to know that I understand. You are such a dear friend, and I treasure you. Keep doing what you are doing, and keep smiling while you do it!

I remember when you came here too.  It was all glitter and rainbows and then it got real REAL for you.  You got mad at me more than once and i knew i had hit a nerve.  Did i care?  Nope cuz i wasnt going to blow any sunshine up your backside.  I backed off and just sat and watched you go into a tailspin for awhile.  I knew you would finally get it and you finally did. Now i am totally impressed with you.  We are seeing the real Rosy and she is one class act.  Your sincerity, honesty and sense of humor is very refreshing~

I can't freaking stand ya Rosy! (Obviously just kidding! I love you!) I liken the hardheadedness and stubborness that we have in the beginning to trying to talk to a teenager. They know it all and there is no getting through to them. There is NO WAY that some old fart has ever been where they have and can have anything to teach them. Then with age and experience, they look back and realize how wrong they are. There are no wiser people than the people who have been through the fire and made it to the other side in one piece. You are one of those people Rosy!
