Overdosed and DEAD!

Overdosed and DEAD!

I just got a call from a friend of mine and she told me that the person we get our oxys from overdosed last night.  She died before she got to the hospital, nothing they could do!  She's only been taking oxys for a little less than a year and never had an addiction problem before in he life. (that I know of) One more victim of this horrible disease, only because of the Grace of God, it's not me!

So sorry and glad it was not you.  Guess you are getting off of them just in time.  How horribly sad.  This is my worst fear for all of us, the users and the partners of users.  It terrifies me.  I hope we will all take head that this is serious and life threatening.

Hoping and praying we all make it alive.

love,

Debbie

Oh my goodness, that is so scary!  But that's your red flag.  Now you know you have to do it.  When you say that's the person "we" got our oxys from, who is we?  If you don't mind me asking because I must've missed something.  Is your husband also taking them?

That also answered my question as to how you were getting the oxys (I just pm'd you).  Is your friend quitting too?

No, she's not, not yet anyway.  I think she's going to see how I handle the withdrawals.  She's scared to death of them, but she's been taking them a lot longer.  She's also a cancer survivor and a CEO of a large company.  The woman we got the oxys from is(was) a doctor(pediatric). Doesn't seem to matter how smart we are or what we've accomplished in our lives, this addiction bug is the biggest challenge we've ever faced, and some of us wait too long and it KILLS!
