I believe it has less tylenol in it and that is why he switched you. The 7.5 have either 500 or 750 of the acemetophin. I am sure I spelled that wrong :) It also should be more effective for the pain. Hope this helps a little.
i will tell you what happen to me...i had a terrible abcess ..They were trying to save my tooth, so i had a re-root canal schduled..until then he put me on oxycodone, did nothing...then when i went ot the surgion, after the root canal..he gave me tylox, came home i was crying it hurt so bad..
now i have had alot of root canals but this one was different it already had a root canal and a crown, so the one that did it yrs ago did not do it right i guess...That side of my face was so swollen..i could feel the abcess on the side of my gums it was hugh..Well i stayed up all night in terrible pain..i called him that morning, and he had my daughter go and pick up two more presriptions because they were so strong he could not call them in, on was demoral i think, and something else...no releif...i thought it was because my tolerence was high...But then i read something somewhere about when in pain staying with your DOC..DUHH!! So i called him and he called me in some lortabs..Pain went away...I don't know why but that was my expereince..
Anyway i ended up losing the darn tooth anyway!!! After all that money and pain, i went in crying and told him to pull it..That was the best releif!! wish i would of done that first..
