avis...I hope you feel better very soon....what a wonderful blessing to have your parents come a 1000 miles to love you and take care of you...i hope you and your family can have a merry christmas despite all this...hoping you pass that stone quickly...peace and merry christmas
Owwee, it hurts just thinking about it. I hope this is over really soon.
This is kinda suckie before the holidays.
Ooooh, owe Avis! I hope this resolves soon!
Take care.
its been a very rough day. i have been told a cpl different things by different doctors two say it a stone other thinks its my appendix's.There is a surgeon on call .i cant move much with getting sick .The doctor switched me over to phenagren i think its helping a bit more with the vomiting.in the last hour the pain has shifted down closer to where i have felt it before so i am hoping the two docs are right and its stone moving down and out i will try to make sure someone knows if i end up back in the hospital thanks for all the support you all have no idea how much it means to me .
Hope you are doing better. I don't like to see you in pain.
Sorry to hear this Avis....that's an awful pain...and you may even experience some between the legs b/c of where your stone is stuck.....Your docs should be treating both the pain and the nausea...there are lots of options. I hope this passes soon and you're able to enjoy your holiday.
Avis Ask your doc about Promethazine 50mgs. (sorry they are suppositories) this is used for severe nausea and it worked great for me.
Please chew ice chips, suck on popscicles, you need to maintain your fuild intake at a consistant level, even if its ice, at least you will keep it down.
I am so sorry you are having kidney stones at Christmas time, not that anytime with those is fun!!
Let your mom take care of you, I am sure she will feel so very wanted and needed......... all Moms need that regardless of how old are "babies" may be.
Take good care of yourself and I hope this will (truly) pass soon. :)
I'm so sorry that you're going through this! I'll be saying some extra prayers for you! I hope the stone passes very soon!!!
This too shall pass..... ;)
Sorry, couldn't help myself...
My suggestion for nausea, no more than 2 ounces of anything at a time...start with 2 ounces of water then again in about 20 min try 2 more...and so on...the dr.'s didn't give you anything like compazine sp? I would think dehydration would be a major concern as well...Don't worry about your parents, that's why God made 'em...you're one, if it were your son you'd be there too...it's the same thing for them. Hard for us to place ourselves there, but do.
Take Care,
ng
