Pharmacys

There is this site i came across somehow...It is pharmacys telling the crazy story's they here from people trying to get narcotics or trying to fill then early....They seem to get a kick out of this..I felt bad when i relized that i had done a few of these things.

I'm gonna copy/paste a few of them here so it will take me a couple of post's....

This one is good b/c how else would you know if you were shorted.

At the VA Medical Center I once worked at, we double-counted all controlled-drug Rx, then covered the vial caps with red tamper-evident tape. That way, any vial returned to us with a questioned amount would be questioned right back if th tape seal was broken.

You have to break it to count them..so your screwed either way...

I think I ran across that site as well coolio.  If it is the one I remember, I got a kick out of reading all the crazy things that "we" did.  I say that because I, like you, did the same thing.  I would call the doctor and tell them that I was leaving town in an hour and I needed to get the rx filled ASAP, then after calling the pharmacy 4-5 hours later, I would call the dr. back asking if it was going to be called in.  I always used the excuse that my hubby was late getting off work so we didn't leave as early as we had planned.  We are some really sneaky people aren't we?

A couple years ago, I left a prescription at my condo in Mexico.  I had asked if they can replace it and she laughed at me.......I thought it was strange, but .....geez, thats prolly what she was thinking.  I recently had an issue with some medication that I screwed up and took the wrong dose.......long story, but All Be Damned if I was going to ask for it early for that reason......I risked having seizures rather than tell the truth, and have them think I was a stupid a$$ or a liar..........thats a shame.  I guess I would have thought the very same thing......but, I have noticed that I hate picking up anything on a Friday....the line is out the door.....Hmmmmm???????

Where i live is known for it's narcotic doctors so the pharms are always a mess...

How about this:

A lady puts in the script for 60 OC's and says she'll wait. Then asks if she can use thier phone at the counter..Makes her calls setting up the deals right in front of tech...even asking at one point about what the pills looked like before they came out.
She didnt get hers.

I've picked up a script early (ativan if i recall) once saying I was going on vacation...I was..they (pharmacy) called insurance and they approved..1 time a year they'll do it..not on opiates, however.
