LMAO  One of our dogs(Zippy) makes a grunting noise when you hug her.  I thought it was so cute until I realized she makes the same noise when going potty. lol

Bear and I carry on conversations when he grunts (not while he's going potty) where he'll grunt and I'll grunt back at him and we'll carry on a conversation until my wife yells at us to knock it off.  At least when I talk to him he listens :-)

one of my wife's friends was just by and Bear was grunting at her while she was petting him and she grunted back and they carried on quite a conversation..til my wife told them both to knock it off.  I love it...sometimes I think he does it because he wants some of what I'm eating, sometimes I think he does it because he likes me scratching his ears and petting him and sometimes I think it's his attempt to explain the real meaning of life that I think all dogs know but we just don't understand..my grunting back at him is my indication to him is that I understand him or at least grasp a portion of it.  dogs operate in another dimension and I think they know a lot more than we think they do.  I'm experimenting on trying to crack into that dimension  and will  back when I figure it out, assuming I come back from the other side..


Oh by the way it's snowing like a ba*tard here and I don't feel like dealing with it...I have to go out for a haircut soon (first since September) and I should plow the driveway but I don't feel like it..I think I'll get my son to do it if he's not working...I don't care if everybody gets stuck in the damned driveway..

Jim rambling away because he is on call and was awakened 3 times last night and I'm really sleepy.

I can't even imagine having to plow the driveway just to run to the store or something. I love the snow, but only remember the good parts. I never drove in it so it was all just kids having fun.  

If I were you, I would stay in the warm house and get out the scissors. Nothing like a homedone haircut. lol lol

well, I got the haircut, came back to plow the driveway and got one of bear's toys stuck in the machinery and now it won't work and I can't get the thing out...gonna have to take it apart but it's too danged cold.

Thank you, Lizzie...very much appreciated..my son and my girls are my step kids but I love them like they are mine and they treat me like their dad...both want me to walk them down the aisle one day..and I can't wait for the joy of that moment...if I don't turn into a bawling idiot at the same time.
