Political vs. Medical
Why has this Website become a political presidential candidate bashing board. And why are women turning against women??? YOu ought to all be ashamed of yourselves. Especially women. I thought this was a medical forum where people could get medical answers and have support for medical issues. And you people have turned this into a bashing forum. I am deeply dissapointed in you all. Why can't you keep your political opinions to your self or save it for someplace else. This trashing is childish. Especially amoung women. You should all be happy just to have a women on board.

I respect your feelings regarding your choices. Most of my remarks were directed to problems across the country and media garbage, and the nastiness of women treating women the way they do. I also acknowledge that the men are doing it too. I just expected more from women.

One thing is for sure, who ever makes President will have alot to answer for if they don't cut the mustard. I think at htis point, whoever gets the seat will strive to fix it. There is alot of pressure in that direction to fix this country. If they fall short, this county will have their head on the block.

As far as Sarah Palin is concerned, I don't care for her, but thats just a personal thing. I have never made comments on her hair etc, but I have made some sarcastic remarks about her when I felt someone defending her position as potencial VP on the sole fact she is a woman. There's alot of things about this woman I don't like, but I couldn't care less about her daughter being pregnant or her hair style (which I like) etc.
I would have liked to see Obama pick Hillary for VP, he would have this election wrapped in a bow. But I like Joe Biden too, so I'm ok with him.

If you are saying that discussing the candidates is wrong I need to disagree. And I have never found any sort of woman bashing here.... as was said, many times here I havent even known the gender of the individual that I was chatting with....isnt that the ultimate in equality? My comments were about bashing women. Not candidates. This is about other women talking about a decent human being and making fun of her all for the sake of chooseing sides. . So what if she has a daughter who is pregnant. How many of your children we conceived before a wedding. And even more, how many of your own children have conceived out of wedlock. There is such a hypocrisy and double standard here. Go ahead and cast your stone. All of you. That is what I am talking about. I am not for nor against her. You are talking about womens rights. I am talking about women being childish by making snide remarks about her hair and other stuff that has no place in the political spectrum. And leave her family alone. Leave her alone. Have some self-respect as another women. I don't if the candidates are male or female. Just stop acting childish.

This is a social forum We can talk about anything we want. I notice your a member of a bunch of different medical forums and the "addiction social" side..why addiction? I think the reason is that we are facing the most pivotal election in most of our histories. I never got the chance to vote for Harry Truman ..... but I am glad that he used the bomb to end WW2 .... this year may well be just as impacting as Give 'Em Hell Harry...........

A womans work is never done. I dream of the day (only a dream), when woman can throw off their aprons, set aside their brooms and go out in the world of men and maybe work, (maybe in the saloons?). But in the mean time I need to tend to the 11 children I have, put on a dress and pearls and get dinner on the table before the husband comes home.

Good point. As a women myself, I wouldn't vote for a women just because she is a women. I must admit there have been times on this forum that I didn't know if I was talking to a man or a women and it really shouldn't make a difference.

I think that this election cycle is important to our country. I for one have not really desided who to vote for, I don't care for either canidate. I think Mary and Savas have made some good points for Obama and Paul is very articulate (sp) and makes good counter points. I don't like the name calling and bashing either way and think it has stopped for the most part. I do not understand your women comments, are women to be held to a different standard than men?
well THE PLAN was that i would stay here about a year or two UNTIL he is transfered to san antonio, texas where i would go with him since it is so far away. but now...ft. benning is wigging a gut because he left and is already trying to put together a very nice incentive pkg to lure him back!!! just what i DONT want...to move back to the drama of my family...lolol. headquarters in washington, dc is also trying to get him and i WILL NOT move there...aaarrrggghhh. so it looks like my future is kind of on hold for a while...lolol. i just know that i do NOT want to move back to where i just left from!!!!!!!!!

i am still here...AND LOVING IT!!!!!! i'm getting very spoiled and FEAR the day i have to leave...lol. ya think my hubby will just let me stay til he retires in about 5 years??? hehehehe. i've been trying to drop hints...but he seems to be ignoring me about that!!
