Praying for California

I just wanted my Ca friends to know that I am praying for you. Tzt, Debsally, and all, I am worried about you and just hope you are safe and sound. It is just so awful to watch the fires and think of the emotional toll it is taking on all who are touched by it. I hope all on the forum will pray for our friends in Cali. and maybe by some miracle the winds will stop now. I believe in miracles.

Awww thanks Tim.   They are evacuating about 10 miles east of where I am.   So far I have not been issued an voluntary or mandatory evacuation notice.  I did send my daughter and grandaughter a little farther northwest because the air quality is very bad.   I went to the grocery store and everyone is walking around with dust masks.   Our cars are full of ash.

Anyway, its just me and my dogs, sitting here in a pile of ash LOL!!!   Crazy lady that I am.   I have a plan and even some students and former students have called to offer me a place if I need it.    If not, I have a couple of exes who are now my buds that I can stay with.

Thanks for thinking of us.   Mar said its pretty smoky where she is but not too bad as of yet.

I am so relieved to hear from you. Please be careful and don't take any chances. It must be just awful to be going through this. I just think of the people with lung problems and breathing that dust in. I forgot Marj also lives in Ca. and hope she is ok too. I hope you are wearing your mask all the time. :)

I wish i had a private jet---I would pick you all up and take ya'll here...LOL But then a hurricane may come..But honestly i think hurricane seasson is over in a couple days here..Thank gosh..

You are such a generous person and that must be why I like you :). Thanks for getting the names and I want to be able to say them in my prayers. I didn't know naughty was in Ca and now I will add her to my worry list, lol. I am writing them down and will have my brother pray for them all. He is studying to be a Pastor. He has a group of women they call "pray warriors" and they pray up a storm for people.

When you get that jet........give me a call :)  You can pick us all up and we will go to an island and just have a good time. Isn't that a great fantasy?? I am a dreamer, could you tell?

LOL!  My grandaughter came out with goggles and a snorkle!!    I jumped up and put on her zorro mask and told her we were ready to kick butt and take names........We are ok, it will be fine.

I will pray for naughty, not sure where she is.  I hope calijen is ok too.

When we arrive at the island we can see that flat tummy!!!!!  It really is a nice fantasy. I will handle all the cooking on the BBQ. We will have a great time and sit around the campfire at night. I picture Mangee telling us some great stories about his cabby days. If wishes could come true....fires stop and R2R wins the lottery and picks us all up and off to Fiji!!!

I forgot about calijen and will add to my list. Please be safe and don't take any chances. I know you wouldn't because you are a smart lady.

Thank you so much.  Yes, everyone, please pray.  It is pretty hard watching all the stuff on the news that is pretty much continuous.  It is heart breaking to watch.  So keep us in your prayers and why not just pray for rain.

I have been praying for you guys too.  I am originally from California and my family lives there.  My sister lives in San Diego and has not had to evacuate yet.  My brother is in Irvine and said they had 1 1/2" of ash but it seems the fires are moving away from them.  My mom is on the coast and is in no danger.  I heard that the weather is cooling off too.  Thank God!  I will keep praying for you all.  love you guys bunches.

I am praying for you to be safe through this disaster. I am touched by the many people that have been donating and helping out. This is when you realize how many good people are out there. I can be cynical, but sometimes something happens and you see the good in mankind.

What a great post Tim.  I have been worried sick since last night.  My lil grandma had to evacuate.  She lives in the hills of San diego.  She lives in the house her and Grandpa lived in for years until he passed away.  Her heart is broken with all the memories that are left inside...My cousin, also evacuated.  Several other family members evacuated.  One has lost their home.  My heart is breaking for my family today.  I wish I could be there to comfort them. But I think your plan is better, can we take them to the island too?  Just be hush-hush about my lil pill battle...

aww, blueyz, im so sorry to hear about your family.   sounds like there are enough of them to comfort each other.  if there is anything i can do to help, please let me know.   i can help people evacuate, i have an suv.   I can offer a room.   i have half an acre, fenced that would accomodate dogs or even horses.

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I can't even imagine what you are going through. I was really impressed by Arnold Swartzeneggar? I think he is doing a fantastic job and wish he could run for president. I never talk politics or religion, but this is just my opinion. I will have to research all candidates before coming close to a decision. Is there anything I can do?

I am concerned about Nauty and MJ, has anyone heard from them?

I think prayers are being answered and the winds are dying down.
