I am not on it, met with a doc yesterday though about it, and unfortuntely he wont put me on it cause i have liver problems from the pills i have taken in the past. So until my liver i healed 100% i cannot be on it. He did however give me some info. on it. From what i was told the longer you are on it, the harder it will be to get off of. I hear that you should only be taking it to get off of the others and not use it as another method. If so, it is just like you still using the pills that you are trying to get off of, you will be defeating the purpose.  You should be really only be on it for a short time. From what i understand like a month tops...So many others i have talked to was off of it within 3 weeks. A good doctor won't let you on it any longer than that anyway, so just do what he tells you to. It should help you with all the nasty w/d's and sometimes it'll help a little with the cravings.

I hope this works well for you!

All my best,
Hope

thank you for responding so quickly :)  i am in a rehab program where i meet with a group three times a week and have been told i should attend an NA program.. but im so scared to go there.. im scared it shall be a meeting full of bums and scary people.. i know im such a hypocrite:P but so far so good with the no pills.. i realize that if i even took a pill ( which i have no desire to right now? yay! ) that it wouldnt even touch me since im on this medication.. my drug of choice happened to be percocet.. would get up to 10-20 a day.. if i didnt have that i would have vicodin.. in the past week i have had about 5 a day.. and now suboxone.. im fearful of withdrawing for the sub but will worry abotu that when the time comes.. when were you on it? for how long? did you despise the taste? when you stopped taking it (assuming you did) was it difficult?  and again thanks for the help.. it really means a lot..

Hey girl I've tried it and i'm on it right now. You can expect to feel better. You should know its blocking what you've been taking so you should be relieved and stop obsessing about the pills.
Cuz thier not going to work. It was a relief to me! what else do you want to know? You should have a plan of support also, and they recommend you don't stay on it for long. Do you mind me asking what you were taking?
