Thankyou very much. I was curious how private it was. I think this is a wonderful helpful site and like to make sure private messages are private. It a nice addition you have added, and I really enjoy this site. I wasn't trying to cause any trouble or start any rumors, i just heard something and wanted to
clairfy it.   Thankyou.   Cathy

Hi,

Just to reply to the question here.

1. Only MedHelp staff has the ability to look at a member's private messages. So, clearly another member can not see your messages.

2. The only time a MedHelp staff would look at a private message is if we get an abuse complaint regarding a message. In that case, we would review what was sent, and act accordingly with a warning/ban.

If for some reason you feel someone has been able to view your private message, please send us a contact us request immediately. We would take that very seriously and act immediately to correct.

I feel that our privacy is being eroded by all the computer technology. There is a huge rise in identity theft and it is too easy for any stranger to find out about your personal life.  Even when you delete email, it is never completely gone!  You have to be very careful what information you  put out on the internet. It is just too easily accessible to the general public.
