Questions regarding accomandations in Panama City/Destin, Fla

Hi, I usually don't post many questions on here because I do not get much response. I am reaching out to all. This may not be the right sight to ask this question...But here goes. We are planning on going to Panama City. Destin, Fla. next week. Does anyone live in the area or been there that can suggest accomadatons. We want them oceanfront on the water. When our son was living, we stayed at a Days Inn, It was ok. Don't know if I could find again. We have also stayed at condominiom (Summer Place). I am looking for moderately priced room. http://www.pcbeachvacations.com/....Google these and others to check price, etc. When I was there years ago, we stayed on Front beach road. It should be a good time to go and you should be able to get something for under 100.00 a night facing the ocean with private beachfront.

Of course its a family type place.....the other kind are all in the Bahama's or Mexico....Just tell the Taxi Driver that you want to go to "boys town" and he will take care of all.........dont miss the donkey show!! Did I really say that?

i live in panama city beach so i might can help you.

what do you want to spend a night?  do you want to be in the middle of all the craziness (tourist...lol) or do you want to be further up the beach some?

We just returned on Sunday 6/21 from Pc.  Had no idea where we were going to stay. Stopped at a rest area and picked up a book. Ended up staying at SandPiper Beacon Resort, I believe the name was. It was on Beachfront Rd. Was ok. WOuld have preferred oceanfront, but hey they had so much to offer. Sure you are familiar with the place? Our 8 y/ and me and spouse went to shell island. Seems like we walked a mile to get to opposite side of where catamaran dropped us off. Long story short..David ended up with 2nd degree burns (went to ped. today) on legs 2/3 lower and feet. Huge water blisters. Also on face. He has peled skin and looks pitiful. Troubling..Iput sunscreen with a 50 SPF. I was under umbrella and also 1 and 2 degree burns to face. Porr thing, I have to bandage both feet/legs 2x day with silvadene. I must say he thoroughly enjoyed. Said he went exploring with another "friend" he met. Said they saw a snake in the rocks. Must have, by the way he ran back to us. Wished   I could have met you while down. Sure you could have given tips on restaurants. So many that I got mixture of seafoods and cooked in room 1 night.   Thanks for offering though.

Hope to return back before David starts back to school in September. He says not to Shell Island though. Maybe I can let you know and we can meet.

i know the sand piper beacon well...lolol.  twice a year...BIKE WEEK is held in pcb.  it's a huge event, bringing in over 20,000 motorcycles...it's wild.  the beacon is one of the major sponsors and hang outs for the bikers.  

do let me know if and when you come back down.  it would be nice to meet and yes i can take or direct you to the best places to eat (where the locals go) and fun things to do.
