So, how does everyone feel about Sen. Biden ?

So, how does everyone feel about Sen. Biden ?

I'm taking my own little poll. lol   Has Obama picking Sen. Biden changed anyone's mind about Obama, or made them feel more comfortable about choosing him ?

I personally was thrilled with this pick.   Biden has a tuff side, but is very likeable.  I think he is one that is in this for the right reasons. He is one of the few in the Senate that has pumped his own gas, gone grocery shopping, and has refinanced his home to pay for college for his kids.

So what's your opinions ?

Great choice. Great ticket.
I still beleive "God help this country if McCain/Bush win".
As everyone should be aware of by now, Bush is one of the worst presidents in history. This is a fact. McCain will be more of the same.
So if your happy with Bush..vote for McCain. Everything would be gauranteed to stay the same and get worse.
With Obama, at least theres a chance at things getting better. He can't work miracles, but at least he could start the changes for the better.
How long can this country go on like this?

I think the pick was the way to go for Obama....The only thing is Sen Biden's (gun control). I dont want somebody in power who wants to take guns from evryone.....

Thats the one thing that our founding fathers agreed on......Guns for protection...

Remeber the bad guys will always have guns...and when governments across the world have cracked down on guns thsy only get them from the good guys...Germany...England......China...

I'm not happy with the republicans anymore and i do want change....just not that change.

excellent choice IMO...i like Biden, hes a tough cookie and wont back down when he thinks something is wrong...and he KNOWS somethings wrong with this country NOW, i think he will work hard for us...
Biden just wants to make it harder for people to access certain types of guns from what i understand...which is a good thing...no one needs an AK-47 for hunting purposes..
no one wants to take anyones guns away, i think that is a misconception, IMO.
correct me if i'm wrong...

LMAO..Obama, terroist connections...your funny.

No one is going to take all the guns away. "The right to bear arms etc.", but I agree with W2L,  the general public doesn't need AK-47's  etc, and this is the area that needs some control.
I stand by what I said. The Bush/McCain ticket is bad news for America.

I'm with Vicuser.  I'm vervous about Obama's (lack of) experience and I'm concerned about McCain's age.  Biden seems OK and may help Obama out.

Actually....I think the whole Obama/ Biden sounds too much like Osama Bin Ladin.....doesn't it, kind of?

I honestly am more afraid of 4 more years of Bush/McCain then I am of Osama Bin Ladin.  Osama Bin Ladin would kill me instantley while Bush/McCain will slowley torture me, making me wish I was dead. Loss of work, health care, my home and probably starvation. I gonna jump on the life raft (Obama) and take a chance at survival, then to definatley go down with the Bush/McCain ship.

We really shouldn't be talking Obama-McCain. We should be discussing issues. So I'll start.
I am pro-choice. I believe in universal healthcare. I think business's that send jobs out of our country should be taxed and not given tax breaks. I believe in bottom up economics not top down.(wev'e had top down for 8 years and its not working)

Remember this is just a discussion, no fighting.  I have many friends that are Republican's and I love going back and forth with them on issues. (all though most my Republican friends are voting Democrat this year)lol

Bottom line is if we would protest the da m White House like they did in the old days we would have better power in there

Anyone that could have listened to Michelle Obama's speech and still think she is an 'elitist"  truly amazes me.   Absolutely  enjoying the speeches tonight,  Al Gore  again such intelligence,  oh yes,  and the man the popular vote elected as president in 2008 ........  hope that doesn't frighten too many,  unfortunately   other than Barack's race and the ignorant accusations  that he must be a "terrorist Muslim"  I think intellegence  frightens  too many people....  after all we have had a president that couldn't put two sentences together without a gramatical error.  The only college he was accepted to was based on his families money, and his father's connections.  What a great contribution Bush made to our armed forces.....and Cheney     and  Rove......I don't think there is one person serving in Iraq, or served in any other war  that is related to, or was one of the current administration.  Interesting.

For all that disagree,  I will enjoy tonight and hope for change,  and you  can hang on to the deficit our children will pay for,  a war that had nothing to do with 9/11,  tax cuts for  you making more than 2M a year , all the jobs that have gone to India  and the big tax breaks those companies got for  'exporting"  albeit jobs,  enjoy knowing your calls and emails can be read at govt decision,  and so on and so on.

Tonight I want to enjoy this moment    and  Yes  I was thrilled Sen. Obama  selected Joe Biden!!!

Great post Lateaugust ! What really scares me, is so many people will go to the polls and vote with no knowledge of the issues. I just wish they would take a few minutes to see where these canadates stand on things like....Roe V Wade, social security, healthcare, etc....    If this election was strickley based on issues, where no people or parties where attached. I'm sure Obama would win hands down.

Here's a radical idea. Maybe we should scratch the candidates and vote Osama Bin Laden into office?!?!

After all, he's had more influence on this country than any one in this country in the past decade. He's responsible for setting foreign and domestic policy, setting the mood for how the country deals with race relations, how we're going to deal with the energy crisis...

The only problem I can see is the man's dead. But that hasn't stopped us so far. Despite this medical condition (which the politically correct bunch call "Living Challenged"), he seems to be doing quite a good job of directing how this nation thinks and reacts.

I thought it was a clever move on O'Bamas part to have Biden I wanted to see Hillary there and had hoped for That, I still dont understand why she didnt get it other than she was a Woman and certainly the Media gave her a rough time if any time too much, I will vote for him on November rather than let a Republican in again, I liked Mc Cains touch of asking Palin to be his vice president but it wouldnt make me vote Republican anyway, as an American /Brit I cherish my voting rights ,so go Democrats.

I'd guess there was to much negative campaigning and mudslinging between Clinton and Obama for them to risk pairing up. McCain would just bring up statements the two of them made against each other over and over in the presidential race.

Plus, they rarely pick a loser to run with nowadays. And like it or not, Clinton lost the primary...and they fear the stigma of the big "L" word.

I also think the fact that Bill would be hanging around the white house didn't help. lol
Blank

I can't help it. Every time I think of Bill clinton now, I picture that "Family Guy" episode where he comes out of his house singing;

"It's a wonderful day to be nude!!!"

That clip would make me vote for him again more than anything. ;)
