We were told that if we are in line at 8 p.m. when the polling closes, we will be able to vote. I'm thankful for that since I can't go until after work and I live about an hour from my office.
Why can't the ballots of the servicemen and women be scanned and sent by secure e-mail back here to be counted? It would be quick, easy, safe and it would assure they are here on time and counted.
There were bags of ballots from the soldiers that were not counted because they did not get here in time. From the reports, the majority of votes were for Bush and I am sure that is why it didn't make much of a news splash.
Absolutely all ballots should be counted. And folks who are left in line at poll closing time should be allowed to vote as well.
Because our Soldiers overseas have to mail in their votes, I believe that their votes should be counted. They are over there putting themselves in harms way that they deserve their vote to count.
I just found out that our polling place is open until 8 pm, so I'll be able to get there after the husband gets home....whew!..........
Yep, all the military that are overseas should be counted. I hope what I heard is wrong.
The military men and women should be the first ballots counted.
Okay now --- I will really flip ouit if we do not count ballots from the guys that we (America) placed in harms way ----- they maybe should be counted twice in my opinion......
Yes you should call. I bet they will have someone there pretty quick to drive you.
I did hear something about the soldiers votes, but don't know the whole story yet.
From what I remember about the Bush VS Gore ballots. It was ballots that they received after the election that were not being counted. They said that soldiers didn't fill them out until they knew it was so close. I do believe that they must have rules and cut off times.( No voting after the election if ya know what I mean). lol That being said ......I think it is a MUST that our soldiers are given access to ballots etc. in a timely manner.
