Songs that make you feel "I can do this!!"

I was having a really rough day feeling some sort of self pity and started to wonder if I could keep going on this long road and I remembered that when I first went through detox and the hard W/D's the first time(I had a huge set back for those that don't know me) and there were two songs that made me feel like I could conqure anything..that being me again clean and sober WAS possible..

Well today when I started to feel a dip in the road I played them again and let me tell you I'm beaming smiling and feel like I can take on the world again :)

Is there songs that you feel helped you through feeling like it was too hard..or a song that made you want to quit??

I figured maybe it would help others since I know music is supposed to be something that can do so much for people at times and I could always use more songs to check out when the road gets bumpy!!

My two songs are "Man in the mirror/Michael Jackson"..this one always makes me want to be a better me and makes me feel happy I took the leap..the second song is "Anything/Headly" It says "I can do anything!!" and I always feel like I can when I listen even if that "anything" is just getting out of bed in pain and taking a shower haha

Old Devo song:

Crack that whip!
Give the past a slip.

When a problem comes along, you must whip it.
When a good time turns around, you must whip it
No one gets away, until they whip it.

Now whip it!
Into shape
Shape it up
Get straight
Go forward
Move ahead
Try to detect it
Its not too late
To whip it
Whip it good!!!

Anything 80's. I grew up in the 80's, so it just kinda took me back to a time when I had no worries or responsibilities. And yes, my favorites are the "hair bands", Poison, Guns n Roses, etc. Music is good medicine!!! Best wishes everyone!

I used music tremendously during w/d....i had it blaring all the time. I believe, for me, depending on the type of music, it can totally change your attitude at any particular time. My husband says ive made our kids deaf with how loud i play it, but i dont think so.
In the beginning of w/d i wanted heavy metal, but i found that made me feel worse....i had to find something else, i used upbeat, happy dance music with a heavy bass in the beginning....I like Sia alot....i used "we are the champions" queen, rocky, these types of anthem songs to help push me through the worst parts.....it worked for me. BTW...on Pandora i put in comedy as well and listened to funny songs like lonely island crew and laughing helped as well.

For me it is ACDC's Back in Black. And also anything by Melissa Ethredge. I was unable to sleep at all at night for y first week or so, I would drive around most of the night blasting music. It was the only way I survived that first week and today music still plays an integral part in my healing process.

Ohh good suggestion..Thanks :)
It's funny how sometimes it helps more than we realize to get in touch with what you are feeling cause the effects of being so cloudy and pushing down and numbing your emotions so long with your drug of choice tends to make you forget that if you feel them it helps you..

I'm needing to process some stuff so the music suggestions is what I'm hoping for !! :)
