The Medicine chest was bare

Hello to all the good people at all levels of Use,DEtoxing,and one day at a time sobriety.My comment/question is this. I started my opiate career on tylenol#3,they sucked,Then there was the Percocets, I was in love, i could work,drive a truck,as iwas a transport driver, make love,as they seemed to enhance the experience and that experience lasted for many yrs,now im on Oxycontin 3x40 a day theres no more goodtimes,it controls my pain as i have had 2back serguries and arthritis in my left-hip, that causes me mobility issues i cant put on my sock and tie my shoe without difficulty.I reduced 40 mgs from 2x80 to 1x80 and1x40. THe thing is when i am on those bombers i think,that is the way i am,Yesterday my doctor was not in and my RX was up,he prescribes me 3 days at a time as i have problems running out.Boy even one day was difficult,i couldnt sleep,i tossed and turned,then the sneezing,runny nose etc.I had to wait 3-hours to see him,he stated that my application for re-hab was done,i replied that wwell discuss it next week as i was no very comfortable, unfortionately the Gouverment is dragging it arse on releaseing Suboxone/Subutex,the only alternative is Methadone,or a taper,unfortunately i dont have the control to due it properly. Any responses wuld be appreciated john

John, at this point, I think rehab is your best bet. It is not just for the physical withdrawal. You need to get to the issues that get you to use, and keep you using. You need the counseling that they will provide in rehab.

I think Methadone would be you absolute down fall.

I hope you will talk to the doctor again.
