The Urge passed

The urge passed to take a pill. I went to Dairy Queen and got an ice cream caramel sundee and it seemed to help. If all else fails I can turn to food  lol.

I have been on edge for many things this week, my husband and I are celebrating our 30 wedding anniversary this weekend. All our children and their family's will be there. As any of you know that have grown kids how hard it is to get everyone in the family together at the same time. I wasn't sure our youngest son would make it, but he can. He owns a seafood store in the Fla keys so we will be having all my favorites. I just worry about him and his girlfriend making that long drive.

I want to thank everyone that posted to me yesterday. It helped. I am looking into an NA group but not one to near me. Thanks again.

Am glad you went to the Dairy Queen instead.  I would rather gain some weight than take that poison.  Im proud of you.

CONGRATULATIONS on 30 yrs of marriage.  Not alot of people make it to that anymore.  Wont it be even better celebrating this time in your life with your family CLEAN.  Enjoy your family and all the seafood!!!  You deserve it.      sara

Thanks, I can't believe how time went so quickly. I have a wonderful husband and he proved it when I had my accident and he had to do almost everything around the house. It's time for us to retire and enjoy life. WE have worked hard for it.

I tell you. A piece of dark chocolate (has to be 70%+ cocoa) will curb the cravings.

L-Glutamine helps to level out blood sugars too. It also helps other aminos work better.

It's nice to know I can eat chocolate and not feel guilty anymore. Dark chocolate is my favorite.

Lighter chocolate loses some of it's properties in the cooking process. That is why it has to be at least 70% cocoa. Now remember, I didn't say to eat the whole bar! LOL
