The tooth problem resolved..Now What???

Hey everyone? I found an oral surgeon yesterday to pull these 2 abcessed teeth from my mouth. I was the one who went to the er from the pain and the infection into my jawbone.  I did have a nasty infection and still do. But the source of the problem is now gone.(the teeth) they were both molars. They did general anesthesia since the infection was so severe. Thank god I stopped taking Suboxone on my own 3 days ago. Cause if I hadn't the surgeon told me he would not of touched me. I have a problem though.. I do have alot of pain, but now that the teeth are out, it is not quite as severe. I have been taking 10/325 hydrocodone for the pain, but I think that Aleve will do just fine right now.  The problem is that I have been trying to reach my Suboxone dr. for 3 days now, and I am not sure how to reintroduce the sub on my own. Although I am a nurse I don't know alot about the sub(many healthcare proffesionals dont). I don't want to keep taking the hydros but I definatly do not want to go into withdrawals either.  Does anyone at all know how I can get back on the Suboxone if so HELP???

yes pulling mine did not hurt, it felt good since the infection was underneath...Mine was in the back and to put a fake inplant is like 1000.00....To try to save the tooth that already had a root canal and a crown i had spend about 3000.00 , then 100.00 to pull it...And all that money cannot take the pain i went through away.lol  my insurance did cover some but not all.

So now i have no tooth in the back( can't really see) but i guess i am a toothless junkie!!  LOL
I have kids with braces on their teeth right now, so mom comes last..
Anyway sorry for rambling, i know nothing about sub..just hydros..good luck my frined

I know I have had dry socket in the past. The only reason that I have taken the suboxone is because of the infection that I had before the tooth was pulled. The teeth being extracted is not that painful neither is afterwards. That is why I want to start back on my sub. I only had this done not even 18hrs ago but I want to be off of the pain meds.  Teeth Suck, they cost way to much money you are right about that one. I had insurance and it still cost me$638.00 for my 20%. Now that sucks... Thanks for the response, much appreciated.

WOW--i have no idea..Be sure to not suck on anything, be carefull so you don't get a dry socket..that is the most painfull thing, that is when the bone gets exposed to the air..I had that..

That is what always scared me about sub..What if you didn't have 3 days to get off..I mean what if you are in a bad car wreck and need surgery right then, what do you do???

i have never been on sub, but did have the same experience with a tooth..It was terrible..I tried to save it spent a fortune then had to pull it..pulling it was the best part..I could of used just motrin after but the addict took the hydros off course..But when i caught a dry socket the hydro's didn't touch it...And i didn't smoke, didn't drink through a straw and still caught it..

good luck
