Update on JerGee and Magda :)

Magda is a mom who came to medhelp looking for help for her son who is a Heroin addict.. she had trouble connecting with the site.. she is from Africa. she had asked to keep those that had helped updated so here is part of her letter.. lesa

Ger-Jee has gained weight. He is doing gym every day at the recovery center and has built a few muscles, of which he is very proud. Lesa, there is such a big change happening inside him. He is busy divorcing Rene. All the time before rehab they were together in secret and he lied about their close relationship. He took drugs to her workplace every day. He had no plans to separate from her. But all has changed now. He realizes know that he has to start new and leave all and everybody behind that reminds or connect him with drugs. She is back with her dad on his remote farm and tries to stay clean. But he has written her a letter that we had to deliver, asking her not to contact him again, so that they both have a change to recover. Please let everybody that knows us on the forum knows that things are good. Please ask them to keep thinking about Ger-Jee, and if they are Christians to pray for him.

This is so true sara.. she fought like a tiger for her son.. sacrificed so much and saw him to this end.. even accepted the fact although many miles away.. he can not come back home to live as temptation lies with everyone he associates with.. It has been very humbling to be a witness to the lengths she had gone to save her son.. I have great respect and care deeply for both of them...
