Updating everyone at LateAugusts request . . .

LateAugust:  Thanks for checking in on me.  I really appreciate it!

I'm still on liquids only for the most part, but have been allowed to add sugar free jello and sugar free/low fat pudding.  I was also told that I should add Chlorofil (sp?) into my water because it helps cleanse the body and helps the pancreas and the spleen.  It doesn't taste great, but it's worth it.  I also added a protein drink this morning.  It's an EAS drink with no sugar and low fat, but has some soy protein in it to at least give me that.  I'm in the bathroom all the time!  UGH!!!

They still don't know what caused it.  I'm causing the specialist some frustration because of my gastric bypass.  He can't do the test he wants to do.  So, he has asked me to send him my gastric bypass records.  I'm trying to get those from my surgeon in Pennsylvania.  He has looked at a CT scan I had done a couple months ago, but I guess he can't see what he wants to see.

The pain has gone away since I've switched to an essentially liquid diet, which is a good sign that it was my pancreas as well.

I'm hungry and headachy and just want to sleep.  But, I can't take any time off work right now - took too much off when I was on the Lortab and so I've been warmed if I miss more work I could be fired.  I'm looking into doing FMLA so that when I need the time they won't be able to fire me.

Thanks LateAugust for thinking of me!  You're the best!

Have a good day!!!!

WOW!  Am I an addictive personality or what!?  I know I'm not supposed to eat, but when everyone left the office and left me alone, I gave into having a piece of pie that one of the girls brought in for everyone!  UGH!!!!  I know I'm supposed to stay away from sugar.  But, it likes, don't tell me what I can't do!!!  And, yet, I know it can cause me more problems.  Here I go - SMACK!!!  Just smacked myself to give me a wake up call!!!  UGH!!!!!!

Thanks for the update   and I am really glad to hear you are not in as much pain as the other night.    You absolutely need to check into FLMA  even in a "right to work" state you would be covered with a doctor's verification of a medical condition that makes you unable to perform your job duties.  The biggest impact of 'right to work" has more to do with the union side.  Anyway, it sounds like your doc has the paperwork now, so hopefully you can get that into your employer ASAP and begin your healing process (once the specialist figures out what is wrong and how to treat you-   see you are special!!). :)

You need to be rested up for the debate tonight so we can dissect it tomorrow!    Take good care of yourself,  and let your husband help you too!!

So sorry to hear about you being sick!  That really s*cks about your job.  I'm in the same field here in MI and I know how that goes.  Don't work on that food storage now (LOL) - just take care of yourself!!!

Mary:
Yes, they can fire me. I used to work as a paralegal for an employment lawyer and since my state is a right to work state, they can fire you for anything, unless your are a member of a protected class and you are harrassed or discriminated against.  The only way they can't fire me is if I get the documents under the Family Medical Leave Act and take time off under that.  I'm having my doctor fill out the paperwork so I can turn it in.

I hope your dog is doing better?
