Just taking a survey on those that have kept their headphones on for the duration of their detox. Just wanted to know what songs have helped the most. For me it's been Dreaming by BT. For some reason it really resonated with me this go around. Check it out on the YouTube if feel so inclined.
I could never stand listening to music during detox for some reason.I was so depressed that it was even too much of a chore to do anything like that.
Thirteenth step was a great album. Btw have you seen C.A.D. which was maynards band before tool. It is so funny. Just funny.
I was around some girls that would sings song I have never heard..I liked it.. All these old songs would go around in my head like "Southern Man"Alot of Neil Young and Eagles..Then after 30 days I went camping with some friends and they played Guitars why we sang all kinds of songs, of course I was still really sick with detox..Now I listen to all my old albums from way back..I hear them in another way!!! I just sing & dance if I am feeling good!!! If not it makes me get in a way better mood..
I saw tool last year in Toledo. Bad *** show. Also saw them 10,000 days tour at the fox in Detroit. Awesome.
Great thread btw. I'm listening to music 24/7. It sounds so good again.
So here goes.
Seether - all albums from them!
Mudvayne - all albums
Phoenix - new song entertainment - you can see them do it live on YouTube just type in phoenix entertainment SNL. GREAT DRUMS IN THAT LIVE PERFORMANCE. I'm a drummer so I love that stuff.
Silversun Pickups - neck of the woods cd. BEST CD OF LAST YEAR HANDS DOWN.
Interpol - most stuff by them
Hey I just checked out silver sun on youtube- very talented! Lot of influences that sounded familiar. Thanks! I am kind of out of the loop as I am old but still like to listen to new stuff if it's good.I listen to everything from jazz to rap and there is much talent in all types of music.
Yeah I played the drums with a lot of cool people. Eminem, stained, puddle of mud, onesidezero, days of the new and a bunch more. Jamming mostly when I was in my bands with them I was not their full time drummer but we played a lot of shows together. Fun times! Met a lot of cool people.
