Who's getting the SNowstorm?

who all is getting this huge storm? I know it covers a huge portion of the US rght now. Its humongous! We are due for 8+ inches here. So far have about half of that from overnight but heavy snow to fall rest of day still. All the schools are closed here, even the big city districts that NEVER close no matter how bad weather gets.  Im happy my 5 yr old is off school today, i love having him home with me and his lil brother =)     (i still havent gotten over sending him to school yet, I was NOT ready for him to go to kindy and still adusting LOL)

It just started snowing here and i think we are supposed to get about 4 inches which isn't too bad i guess, but will have to work at 4am tomorrow by the time it stops. HI troubleinOhio...Im in Beaver county PA...we got lots last night..now were getting ice..which is supposed to turn into more snow this afternoon...NO SCHOOL today...I have 4 kids and 2 of the neighbor kids are here all day too!!! Im gona need some "Calgon Take Me Away" at the end of this day!!! No clean house for me today!!! I hope you have a great day with your son....I know how you feel about sending the kids off to school...Its hard for me too...I miss them, esp the youngest 2 when they are gone...peace~

I am just pleased as punch that i didnt have to participate in this storm.  It missed us this time!!!  Supposed to snow some this afternoon and evening and then the wind is supposed to blow 182 million miles an hour.  Maybe in June we should start a poll to see who sees the lawn first!!!!  By the time all this shat melts it will be winter again here!!!  It is a heatwave today tho.....2 above!!!!!

I would like an apple pie with caramel drizzled on top please!!!

We had lots of snow the past couple days, and it was supposed to start snowing again tonight, but it's already here!  I love snow and so I'm happy.  I just worry about people driving on the roads.

I'm in Southeastern NH and we're getting it  6-12 inches...it's been fairly light up until about and hour ago just as I returned from the dentist.  Predicted heavy snow around 3PM, then slowing down with freezing rain..yuck...then I have to go out and clean off cars in the driveway and move them for Larry the Plow Guy because a certain large box store I won't nameHd screwed up on the repair of my snow thrower.  Hopefully my son will be home by then...he's usually very helpful with that and shoveling, knowing my back can't handle it very much....

I absolutely am sick of this stuff...The dog goes out and comes back in with a ton of snow stuck to him (he's a golden retriever)...I try to clean him up before he comes in but the stuff gets all stuck to his fur..grrrrr...

I'd love to make some chili tonight but I'd have to run to the store, and while I've got 4WD I don't feel like going out again..plus I'm working

We have so much snow here that we have had to blow the snow out in the yard for the beagle.....She is short and the snow is deep!!!!  We have the real snowy months coming up too!!!

Sarah I just got a puggle and shes the best =) It was snowing here but now its raining. Not only is it raining but it FOGGY Im soooo excited to see fog. Its a heat wave at 42 degrees. But it wont last and all this will turn to ice which is worse than snow I cant take the ICE ANYMORE!!! Florida sounds AWESOME!!!!

Nope, no snow here, 80 and a beautiful beach day, however a cold front is coming and will only get to 61 on Sat Grrrrr!  My family in Ohio tho is another story, hear they got a level 3 emergency going in Centerville! I will probably be a gramma again in about 9 months if it does not let up!

I wish I had my snow thrower back...at least I don't have to wait around for the plow guy to show up and move the cars out of the driveway when he gets here...I could clean them off and move them now, but there's not enough room  in the street for them.."well why not put them in the garage?"  ha ha ha ha ha...I don't know if I can even get the blasted snow thrower in the garage if I ever get it back.

Just got a call from the snowthrower repair folks..seems the starter broke the engine casting and instead of costing us 280 something it's now up to 600 something..warranty expired 11/26.

You have to admit it looks beautiful from indoors,, all the tree tops covered in snow,, I have to say the best part is watching my 8 year old going down the hill,,laughing and screaming with joy.  I sit in the truck with the heater on and my Tim hortons hot chocolate yummy yummy.  MELODIE

well we got 9 inches here on top of uhhh......that 12" we got a week or so ago, ontop of .....the last 6....i forget how much we have now. All i know is its DEEP everywhere and you cant see anywhere anymore cuz where it is plowed there are mountains of snow skyhigh! We are now in the top 2 spot for snowiest January every on record here and only need .10" to beat it, and another alberta clipper coming friday should put us over the record no problem lol.  I just about killed my back today cleaning my car off. that snow is so heavy! plus it had drifted so it was higher than 9" on my car of course, more like 16"! But i wanted to clean it off today because its supposed to go down to 3 tonight or so , and then its even harder to clean the car off next day when its frozen so tight. I hate this, Im sick of it, and my back hurts like a real mother tonight!!! its screaming right now.  Im glad my son doesnt have school tomorrow either. I can take it easy here (well, as easy as two little boys LET you do so, lol) Ideally, I would lay on the couch allllllllll day long with my heating pad and read my Richard Laymon book (horror), and eat chocolate and drink cup after cup of coffee. HAHA. wouldnt that be nice. It'll be more like fixing breakfast for the kids, doing the dishes, cleaning up their messes, helping them get their showers and dressed, referreeing their fights etc etc !!

we wound up with about 8"..it ultimately turned to rain..my timing was perfect...I went out to clear the cars off and Larry the plow guy called and said he was 3 houses down..cleared off the cars and moved them just as he got to my house..

I shoveled our front walkway...big mistake..the snow was like cement (heart attack snow I call it) and there went my back.  Son is home from work today and I'll get him to shovel a bit in the back.  I'd love to lie around and drink coffee and watch movies all day, but unfortunately I have to work....fortunately from home.

I talked to my brother who lives in Cuyahoga Falls OH and told him how we (philadelphia) got blasted (2-3 inches) with snow...he proceeds to tell me they did too about 12 inches and expected 6-8more today...LOL..

yeah it is really bad here.  and, i  would love to know what the hell the city does with the "salt" budget money.  they are saying there is a shortage of funds so they cant salt.  o please.   it's only january. im scared to death to drive in the snow....let alone ice. and i hate the snow plow man........they seriously plowed all this snow infront of my drive way so i cant get in and out of it....hence, i got stuck.
