adderall withdrawal problems with energy and weight

I have taken adderall, about 80-120 mg per day, for 10 years. I have relapsed twice and want to recover for good this time. My main problem is that after one year in recovery, my energy level was still extremely low, and my weight gain was pretty high, despite an extremely healthy diet and running every day. I was a member of AA and attended meeting frequently, but the despair of never regaining my energy back or being able to eat like a normal person, or remotely close, drove me back to the amphetamines. Does anyone have any information on what aids might help with energy and weight, or how long if ever my chemical levels will return to normal. I want to live an honest life again. Thank you.

What an e-mail handle n************* I may just call you "spike". Zurich is really right. This is the first step. I've taken adderal and do know a minute about it. But I'm afraid thats all. I never took it more than a time or two. I used up any desire for hyperstimulation on coke. I can check it out some and do not mind doing that. But for solid and practical advice keep on this forum. Were you clean for that whole year in recovery? It would seem that the appetite and the amphetamine would be mutually exclusive. I am kind of inclined to think that you should investigate the clinical depression issue. Its just a fact that most of us doing this thing have either had experience or got d*** close. And Zurich is right about the weight and energy.  Are you saying that you had more of an appetite when you were doing the adderall? I don't know that looking for further "aids" is the best shot. Some things we just have to deal with sober. Was it James Bond that said "never say never again" or something like that? Don't draw lines in the sand that you can't jump over.......People are here for you.

Hey - I think you first need to get off the amphetamines - what are you taking? Weight gain and energy depletion are common amongst those depressed - you might simply need an antidepressant - or your metabolism checked - I'm not a doctor, thus don't know.  But if you need help getting off the amphetamines - depending on what they are - I might be able to share my progress plan with you.
Give yourself a 'big thanks' for stepping out and taking the first step to an 'honest' life again.  Marie
