I am smoke free 50 days!. I used the patch for 4 weeks and that was it  I am done I prayed about it and just decided to save my life. All the best

i stopped 3 yrs ago, used a 12step guide to not smoking, you can get it at books a million
i had really bad asthma and always had respiratory infections, now i do not have to take any asthma meds
good luck, its really hard to stop but you can do it, i was told not to try it until i was atlease a year clean, i did do it right before my year anniversary, it definantly effected my emotions and recovery from opiates
anxiety, and anger were the two that got me

I quit cold turkey, just fine. Staying quit is a different story. I have made the 6 month mark before the anxiety finally Wins.  Monday, I start with the nicotine patches. I have also ordered an electronic cigarette for the comfort zone part. I have emphasyma and must find a way to win this battle once and for all.
