entanyl withdrawls..

Hello,,I've been on duragesic 50mcg. + Lortab10/500 for breakout pain for about 11/2yrs. for back pain & also over the last 10yrs. I have severe arthritis,(I've had 9 different joint surgery's the last being a total hip replacement which still bothers me..,Question???  I'd like to drop the patch at least
for acouple of months,, Is ther any way to do it without those terrible withdrawl (withdrawal) symtoms (symptoms) that go along with stopping the patch (Or aleast cut down on them)

first hello to you. sounds like you have had a rough time. why are you choosing the duragesic patch to discontinue instead of the lortab?

From what I understand, the patch is very hard to taper. since there is no in between doses. From 50 there is 25mcg. there was a women here awhile ago that tapered off them successfully, it was hard.. please talk to your doctor.

There is a 12.5mcg fentanyl patch.  Still that drug is 100 x stronger than any po narc.
