Hello and welcome. Lots of info here on cold turkey.. is there any other way really?? Tapers are good, but very difficult for most addicts.. and if your already at 3 days, thre is no point in going back..
refusingbondage is absolutely correct....the better you feel, the more you are going to want them. The mental part really is the hardest....after the whole initial, pumped feeling of "I am quitting and going to change my life this time" wears off. I have found that the key to the success of staying clean is not in the days or the week after you quit, but much later than that. The hard part really is after all of the physical WD goes away. Of course, I cant speak of how it's going to be past a month or so becuase I haven't been there yet, but I have heard stories of people being clean for YEARS and then relapsing......It's something to keep in mind.
Congrats on the 3 days, and congrats to you for deciding to change your life. This, in itself, is truely a victory worth feeling good about.
Oh yes....and toss the rest of the pills. Seriously- it makes it soooo much harder. Those bad thoughts of "I could just take one dose, and feel normal again" will not go away until you let go of those pills. It's absolutely imperative to your success
ive been addicted to oxys for 5 years now. the first time i quit i taperd and it was good but im on day 9 today from quitting ct from oxys. the first 3 days are the wrost. you WILL feel better each day. its not a walk in the park and it doesnt just go away and you feel 100 percent right away. but each day youll feell great. get out do things. i swear on it. the more active you are the better it gets. forces your body to produce endorphans and stuff. go to work do your every day activitys makes the mental part better knowing you can do that with out your pills. and as much phyiscal activity as you can. will make you feel great. will be tough to get out but honestly it helps. but your through the hardest part of the physical wd. i def suggest you throw those pills out. get out there enjoy life do anything take your mind off those damn oxys. you are through the worst part tho congrats on it.
600mgs is a lot, but its been done before.
Well the GOOD news is at 3 days you are almost there. You will probably NOT feel any worse than you do today.. Usually the physical stuff begins improvement around 5 days and keeps getting better from there. Hang in there! You are so close. The first week is the hardest. I commend you for not taking those pills, but I would strongly urge you to toss them. Ironically the better you feel, the more you are going to want to take them. The mental part of this usually comes after the physical. If you really want off and to stay off, why tempt yourself? Good luck to you and many blessings and CONGRATS on 3 days!

Good luck to you and keep up the good work!!!
