invitation from a stranger

Today I received an invitation from someone that I have never even seen post on this forum. I thought that was a little strange??? I wasn't paying any attention so I accepted it thinking it was from someone that had  just sent me a pm.
The only thing I have put down about myself is my sex.

Has anyone else been getting invitations from strangers also?

I had someone wanting to be my friend about 4 days in  they called me dear friend and they loved me.  I looked for this person all over the forum and couldnt find the name so i ignored it.  It was rather creepy.

if you will click on "friends" at the top of the page...there is a member finder on the right hand side of the page.  type in the person's screen name and go from there.  it will take you to the forums they are members of and you can check them out.

I have gotten them just from people that are new and many times are lurkers.....they are usually very positive......If they were  saying unfavorable things or being weird just block them.  sometimes lurkers find people interesting and want to talk or just make a statement.....no biggy......to me.

I have gotten those from people that seem to be acquainted with me, but that i have never heard of. I cant see how they could do any harm - I just took them as lurkers and wrote it off as that -

I've gotten quite a few invitations from people I've never spoken to before. I figure it must be my winning personality. :)

Seriously, it could be something as innocent as they liked something you wrote; it struck a cord in them, or they feel you've got similar interests/problems.

Unless they start asking you  something strange like "what kind of food do you wear on a first date?" I wouldn't be to worried.
