Acetaminophen is very bad for your liver, especially higher doses. If you have to take something, some otc sleeping pills have the same ingredient found in benadryl without harmful extras. I still wouldn't recommend them. This is just my opinion. I'm fighting a benadryl addiction right now.

I agree, try Melatonin - it works great to help with sleep. For me, I only need to take a half a pill now to help me sleep.  It's a natural substance in our bodies and sometimes we become depleted and thus causes issues with sleeping.  Good luck!

Just be careful on the dose. Thy may b over the counter, but overdoses of those medications can cause serious problems in the kidneys, leading to loss of function.

In the grand scheme of things, there's a lot worse you could have taken. A little background...Tylenol PM contains two ingredients...Acetaminophen and Diphenhydramine HCl. Diphenhydramine HCl is better known as Benadryl. It's an antihistamine that produces some sedation like effects. Now, when I went through rehab, we couldn't go near any "mind altering" substances, including Benadryl. Will you get addicted to it? Probably not. But, it can stir up some things in your head that may start a trigger that you can't pull away from. So, for a couple of days it will be OK. Maybe not so great long term. Try melatonin or tryptophan as safe alternatives.
