my new addiction bores me, but...

I am grateful to have found this forum. I am recently addicted to drugs again after 2 years clean from methamphetamine addiction. In May of this year I had to have wisdom teeth removed and SUPRISE, got addicted to the percosets prescribed for me. Last month I found myself buying heroin and oxys on the street, well from friends of mine who are stuggling to stay clean also. Yesterday I took my first suboxone and felt lke I had a chance to stay clean. It is a miracle like I've heard throughout many posts here. I took 12 mg. Today however I took percs and oxys. 30 mgs so far. I havent done heroin for a week. Is this dangerous? wasteful?! hahahaha...I feel high, but not as much as I should. Is it the subox interfering with the rush, or am I just tolerant now? It's hard to tell. What I do know is, I want to be clean finally and feel hope with suboxone. I dont want to buy it off the street, so I think I'm going to get into an outpatient rehab. but on the fence still. I also have no med. insurance, but I'm sure it's cheaper that all the $$$$ I'm sending on pills illegally. I'm bored at this point. I have a life and I want to keep it. I lost everything on meth. heroin/opiates arent going to destroy me too. The recovery from meth took almost a year. I couldnt leave the house for 3 months and tried to kill myslef twice before I finally reached out for help.yes, you cannot do it alone. so far, opiates have proved to be just as hard to get off of. The withdrawl is awful. anyway, thanks everyone for all your support. I'm glad I had the balls to speak up today.

So are you going to try to get on Sub? Im glad you spoke up today, its a step in the right direction. If not Sub, are you going to go cold turkey? I really wish you the best and am glad you are here. The whole "choice" is just another opinion. I think it would have offended me really bad if I had only gotten hooked on vikes after being prescribed for pain and it really was an accident.
I know with my street drug use, I not only chose but worked hard to get addicted. Once strung out I was powerless.
Its ok that it upset you. You have a right to your opinion too.

Sub only sends you into withdrawals if its taken too soon after your drug of choice. It does NOT send you into withdrawals if you take your drug of choice after taking Sub it will block the effects of the pill if you have taken enough Sub.

The suboxone blocks the effects of the drug and sends you immediately into withdrawals. And yes, it is very dangerous to take the two at the same time.
thank you! I am going to be strong and just deal with it. I am not gonna go cop. I really dont want to deal with it. I am grateful for my life and trying to get high is not really on my list of goals for the day. I will be ok for work. I appreciate your kindness. I hate that I got pissed off at that post about "choice", but I'm on edge and it had to come out somewhere;)
subox was good, I really had no cravings all day yesterday. I guess I should have saved it. I hope I can get more, legally that is.

If you could take all of the energy that you expend trying to get your drugs...and turn it into energy to get off the drugs, you would be on your way.
I know that is easy for me to say, but at some point you have to make the decision.
If you can take some time of of work and plan when you are going to do this, it would also help. If you feel strongly about the Suboxone, please do your homework before you start a program. It can help you but you should know ALL about it first.

I dont know how dangerous that is, that is why I am on here. I screwed up, obviously. I do want this, but I am obviously confused and weak. I am sick of the merry go round, but afraid of being sick. I have to work this weekend, as well. I know that I can handle it, but really know nothing abut subox, just what I've read on here, which confused me more. anyway, thanks for responding. I have to waste energy today trying to cop and that makes me scared and angry.

I only got 1 and a half suboxones from a friend, so I dont have any left. I did have percs and oxys still, so I did 'em. I only have 10 percs left, so I'm trying to ween off. I'm scared of the imposing withdrawl. I thought the subox would kickstart my resolve to quit and prevent withdrawl, but it didnt. now I'm back to square 1.
