pregnant on methadone

is anyone in simular situation? i am 21 weeks pregnant on 40mgs of methadone it is starting not to hold me i dont want to up my dose and the dr. said i can miscarrie if i try to get off

kriis I am not sure but try to get ahold of 1234betterlife. She is an RN trained in OBGYN and has helped quite a few with drug issues.

Hi I seen you were looking to find someone is the same boat as you (and so am I) I am also on methadone and I am 14 weeks pregnant and scared to death. How are you holding up? I just started yesterday with the methadone and I can't wait untill this crazy high feeling goes away.
Did they put you on the methadone during your pregnancy to prevent your baby going into withdrawals in the uterus since its long acting they SAY its safest?
Or where you on prior to becoming pregnant?? I am so glad I have found someone that can relate to my situation. I hope to talk to you soon. I sent you a friends request I hope we can keep in touch and support one another!!!

Kris are you being followed by the doc who is giving you the done? I know women who delivered healthy babies on the done and they were well cared for.
