quick question about nyquil

this evening at the grocery, the lady in front of me bought a bottle of nyquil, ok, so what. wrong., they ask for picture id, her date of birth, phone # and address. all for nyquil. I know it is for colds and the flu but what else can it be used for? I don't mean to sound stupid but can you get high from it too?  Hubby says I am very slow when it comes to over the counter drugs and the street value of some of them. Although he didnt know the aswner either and apparently the little girl who was demanding all the information didnt know why she needed this information. so not that I was to experiment but just curious. can any one give me any input? thanks in advance, and  Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I can relate - most of my friends did this pretty much every weekend, the only reason i didn't was b/c at the time I was in love with percocet, which i had just discovered, otherwise i'd probably would have been right there chugging it with them.  I am a nurse so I research everything before i do it too, you're not alone at all.

Yea, it all started with "roboting" (Robitussin) sadly, I did that **** once a week for 3 years. I know quite a bit about it, because even though I'm an addict, I research everything before I put it in my body, weird huh.

I think the same ingredient might also be in robitussin. I live in a very small town and many people i know have "robo tripped". I think you have to drink the whole bottle - nasty. I can't stand the taste of cough syrup.

ick, no wonder I hate the way cold medicine makes me feel. ironic I know, being a drug addict. I had to take 2 of the tylenol severe cold pills today because I've been so sick with a cold, I'm praying that I sleep tonight. Cold medicine keeps me awake, tired, and drowsy, but can not fall asleep for anything.

Whoops wrong spelling, the correct spelling is dextromethaphan, sorry. Anyway, I used to drink it all the time, stupid I know, but addicts do stupid things.

It's not the alcohol content, it's the dextromethaphine (DXM) you can trip off it, similar to an acid trip.

yuck i cant imagine anyone being able to drink enough of that nasty stuff to even get a buzz! nasty nasty nasty!

you would think they would get high only after drinking the entire bottle. I agree with you chichi lover, it wouldnt work for me either.
