When I communicated before my honey didn't know. I went to his office downstairs to use his computer to print some coupons. I saw that he was logged into medhelp and sent you guys a message under his login. When the daytime football was over and he came back to the living we had dinner and I told I sent medhelp a thank you. I told him I didn't want him to be mad because I know this is a private thing for him. He told me that he is glad I came here and that the only thing thats private is you and I my addiction is public and needs to be that way for me to stay sober. he said he encourages me to monitior the site as it will give you great insight to the problems of addiction. I was happy he said that he is truly an amazing man. I told him since he was going back to watch football would he mind if I went onto the computer and looked are the medhelp site. Of course he didn't mind because I won't be asking him dumb questions about football--he doesn't mind that at all I just get bored and it and it gives him more chance to yell at the tv screen when a team does something he thinks is stupid--I guess its a guy thing. But i don't mean to digress, I went back on to the medhelp site and didn't see my original post I asked my husband why it wasn;t there and he said thats strange maybe they moved it to another forum and check the email. I saw that it was moved I hope that I didn't say anything that upset anyone and thats why it was moved i am new to this and if i did i'm sorry i just wanted to show my appreciation for all that you have done for my man. if i did please let me know like i said i am new and don't know the rules.

Hi!

First I would like to commend you on "standing by your man", so to speak. He always says you are his rock and his world and I see why. I am happy for you both that you are getting through this together.

Second, if you look up top at this page you will see that this is The Addiction Social community. It is where we chit-chat, tell stories, tell jokes, do the football pool (your favorite I am sure..lol) and it is where a thank you post like this would go. This community was created several years back out of necessity as The Addiction Substance Abuse community gets so much traffic and each new member, and old ones, are often in need of immediate care.

So your post was moved here to give room to those members needing help much like hubby did when he first came here, and the other night. You didn't do a bad thing at all. It is just a matter of priority.

Once again, glad you are here. Take your time to look around the whole site at the different forums. You may find one that you yourself can identify and feel comfortable in.

Take care.

Its half time now so he is now reponsive to things other than football lol. i told him what you guys said and he didn't even realize that there was another forum for addiction problem. and he also agrees that the channels should be open for someone needing imediate help than just someone  say thanks. althoght i think tahts important to. he said all of you people are very intelligent people who have been there and know how to give good advise. i am amazed at all of the information on this site. i want to once again thank all of you for not only what you have done for my husband but what you have done for me i have my strong man back and if i can do any to help anyone get that please dont hesitate to ask me. well the game is on again cause i here my hubby screaming at the tv lol love ashley
