rear ended

This has nothing to do with substance abuse but yesterday my daughter and grandson were rear ended at an intersection.  They both are bruised and sore but ALIVE.  The girl that hit them was texting on her cell phone and was not paying attention.  My point here..........Please everyone if you are on your cell phone driving just be careful.  They were lucky.

July  1st. here in California......no more talking, texting while driving or you get a nasty ticket.  Everything has to be hands free.  And, nobody under 18 is allowed to talk at all.  This should be very interesting.  I just can't understand anyone texting while driving.  Thats insane.  I don't use my cell while driving, hell I can barely walk and chew gum.

I'm very glad your daughter and grandson are ok.  That is very scary.

I was "T-boned" (hit on the side, in the driver door) by a car going 55 mph just 3 months ago.  Talk about lucky to be alive!!  I am eternally grateful that my injuries will heal over time.  I have ruptured discs in lumbar spine and whiplash.  Thank God I drive an SUV...it saved my life because I was hit by a 2006 Toyota van and his car would have hit my driver window if I was in a regular car (hit my hip area instead).  My SUV was pushed 175 feet after impact...not on the road either, but through ditches.  It didn't flip over.  Your daughter and grandchild are very lucky!!  The guy who hit me was illegally passing two cars...just didn't see me turning...never hit his brakes.  I count my blessings every day.  Best wishes to your family
