suboxone jumped from 8mg to .25 in 4 days

I had an oxy habit ranging from 5 to 3 80's a day. I went to see a really wonderful Dr. who started me off on Subutex. This next week I'm suppose to be incorporating suboxone throughout  week according to a taper chart he has given me. However, my story is this, First day I think the gave me an 8mg subutex and told me to take half in the morning and half at night. Well next day i took less than 4mgs day after that probablly 1mg, next day a .5, next day maybe .25, next day a crumb. I have felt little to no withdrawls. Just one night of a half night sleep and a little irrability....nothing to really complain about. I believe less is more. I am TERRIFIED of getting stuck on this stuff that's why I am choosing to do WAAAYYYY less. Well it's working for me. I am moving to fast even though I have yet to feel significant withdrawls? I think today I am going to try to go with nothing. Dpes anyone think I can get through this with little to no withdrawls the way I'm heading now?

Thanks for getting back with me. I think your right about the age, weight and length of time. I'm 31 weigh about 127 and was always pretty active even on the oxy. Well now I'm ging on my 8th day of subutex not yet even taken any more than a total of 2 pills. Yesterday I took a crumb mid day but by night I felt my arms getting that crazy feeling and the tossing and turning began. Not sure if it was in my head or not but I went and took another crumb and eventually fell back to sleep. I hear exercise is THE KEY but I am finding it hard to motivate myself to do it.
I can't believe you CT methadone...that's nut's and I know I couldn't have done that. That's will power I tell ya. Hey if you can do that< I can do this because I hear methadone is THE WORST...even my dr. said so. How long did you withdrawls last? Man that is inspiring.

Everyone's different, your age, weight, and length of time using Subutex will affect your withdrawals. I'm sure you know all that though. When I came off Methadone I didn't really start feeling the acute withdrawals for two or three days, but I quit cold turkey.
That's awesome you decided to taper yourself though, most people aren't strong enough for that. I had to get thrown in jail and go through a lot of painful sh%t before I decided I was done for good.
